These are an easy win, without much trouble.
Let’s start of with the product pro and con list. They look fantastic, far better than I expected. The sticky is powerful, no need for extra glue. It’s easy to create a staggered pattern because you get mostly long pieces with two medium and two short pieces. I used the white wash version to redo the paneling in my bathroom. I ran them horizontally to mesh with the flooring I plan on doing the same. These pieces are very lightweight, it’s incredible how lightweight, think of the old bi planes, they use a nice weightless wood, feels the same to me as model planes in the 80’s. These are cleanly cut so they butt up to one another very well. I do have two places it didn’t do perfect but that was my fault. 16 sq was perfect for my project. Once I finish my project I will edit this review and add a photo or two.The cons of this product, well there is only one really. The adhesive is REALLY strong, as such you need to be careful when planting them because you most likely won’t get to move them once they stick. They are so lightweight any attempts to for fully remove them would likely end in disaster and I couldn’t imagine having to them get all the left over material off to put on a new piece. So, measure twice, cut once and be extra careful when placing them.Method I used for cutting: I was installing these over wood panels around my master bath toilet, the panels have trim blocking it in. I simply placed inside the trim and that made it easy, I didn’t need to level them. That said, you might want to draw your first line using a level so you have a nice looking end result. I used a dremmel saw (not the sane as an actual dremmel tool), it’s a small handheld circular saw, if you don’t have one, every tool company has a version and it was super fast and efficient at cutting these. If you get the saw I have, it came with a tool to make specialty cuts (read the Instructions). I wanted a 45degree cut on one side to go with the curve of the quarter round, my first piece I didn’t do that and it was a bit protrudish. I did the remaining rows with that cut and they melded perfectly into the quarter round. My final photos will show what I mean. You will see people saying to use a utility knife, but I couldn’t get clean cuts let alone specialty cuts using one, not to mention it’s impossible to do slowly and I just felt like if I continued I was going to end up in the ER. With this saw, I could hold it in my hand in the air and zip the saw, one second and it’s cut and ready to go. If anyone would like me to post a photo of the saw and guide tool just ask in the questions section and I will try to add in the photos (I sure hope I can add photos later). At any rate you can set the plunge depth, so it’s super simple and effective. Another reason to use the saw over a blade is that the saw cuts thru the sticky tape easily and the blade sometimes caught it and tore it.Method I used for placing: when I was placing these pieces, I placed the left side edge first, not allowing the board to get close enough to stick, then I slowly rotated so the top edge was in place, then I placed the piece. I did this when placing the first board against the trim edge and after that, to make each piece mesh with the prior piece. Here is where I made a mistake, on one piece I was in a hurry, I let myself get too bold, and I didn’t push the top edge up flush, so when I placed the piece, it has a very small gap between the pieces. That was my learning lesson. Thankfully it’s in the dark corner so nobody will ever notice it, I intend to put some white caulk in there to make it even less obvious. But when I place my bottom pieces, I will have a hard time with that cut because I have to rip the board lengthwise, and it will need to be slanted, I may do a few shorter pieces so I don’t have to be so exact on one piece.Customer service: I had two pieces that were damaged in the package, I did partially use one piece, but my project required the entire 16’ of board. I reached out to the seller, not expecting any help really because when I attempted to use the pieces I accepted the condition of them, and that was fine. I even said that to the seller when I asked if I could purchase two replacement boards separately from an entire package. The seller didn’t miss a beat, they advised they would provide two pieces to me, and got my address. You really can’t ask for better customer service that responding within 12 hours, going above and beyond, and doing something not expected or required just to make it right for the customer.Based on my entire experience from the moment I clicked purchase, to the moment I responded to an email, I will buy from this seller again. Not only are their products solid, but the seller stands behind their products without hesitation. There aren’t many sellers left like this these days. So when I find one, I make sure I give them my business at any opportunity. The seller is Art3d, so I believe they are also the manufacturer. Bonus points.Thank you Art3d for offering such stellar products, for reasonable prices. Having a huge selection to choose from to meet any project needs and standing behind your products so firmly. I feel like you went above and beyond for my little issue, which makes me feel like you appreciate my business. For that, you get my continued business in the future. I have actually already bought other products in the past, I just never needed customer care before. These products and seller/manufacturer are an easy win. Their products look fantastic, and the quality is sublime. I have no regrets, and you won’t either. If you are reading my review, just click buy!

Decorative wood planks
Purchased these as a design element for the ceiling during our recent kitchen remodel. The planks are thin and lightweight, but they look great. They had an odor when we unboxed them, but we followed the instructions and played them out in the open to air out. We actually let them air out for a couple of weeks and the odor was gone. We got both white and grey planks, but ended up painting the white ones different colors to give a more rustic vibe. My 62 yr old husband DIY'd the job, which became more extensive than originally planned as we did the ceiling of our breakfast nook also. Cutting the planks was quite time consuming. We used a utility knife and an oscillating tool for the cuts. The biggest challenge was keeping the planks on the ceiling -- to that end, we used plenty of Liquid Nails between the adhesive strips. It also helped that my husband purchased a heavy duty vinyl floor roller from Lowe's to apply ample pressure during the installation. Even then, we still had trouble with a couple of the planks sticking and had to add more Liquid Nails and re-roll them. Overall though, we are quite pleased with the finished product and feel that it adds character to our "new" kitchen.

Easy to install and looks great
Since I’m mostly working from home these days I wanted to make my meeting backdrop a bit more exciting. So I covered the wall behind me with these Blue Charcoal planks and then mounted my musical instruments on top of it. They really liven up the room vs the boring drywall that was there before.Recommendations for people using:- Be very careful from the very beginning. The adhesive is really sticky. Once these things are up on the wall you’re basically gonna have to destroy it to get it off.- Consider painting the base wall behind it before adding the panels a similar color before you start. You’re almost guaranteed to have some bleed through on this and a similar color will mute that. In hindsight, I wish I would have done that. It’s not bad or all that noticeable but just something to consider.- You’re gonna need a lot of boxes. You should count on having to scrap quite a few pieces during the process. I had originally planned on needing 5 boxes, but ended up needing 7.- You’re probably going to need some sort of trim to go with this as I found not all pieces were exactly the same size. Especially in the cases when I had to cut pieces to fit around outlets. I ended up using more of these planks as trim, by placing them vertically on top to cover the edges- I used a miter saw to cut the pieces. I’d probably avoid trying to cut them with a utility knife as it’s a bit hard to cut that way, unless you need very precise shapes. FYI, If you have outlets or anything else like that to consider, you’re going to need to cut it in some capacity.- If you’re planning on mounting anything on top of this, find and mark your studs before you finish. Some stud finders can find the studs through these panels but some can’t. It was easier to find the studs before I finished the wall and mark them with blue painters tape.- Use a level to make sure the planks are even. If one row gets off every row you place after that will be off just as much if not more.Overall I was extremely happy with this purchase. I think the wall looks great and my office is now my favorite room in my house.
