Best vitamins, Best price!
Usually I don't review products but after going through 3 brands of prenatal vitamins these were the best option for me. I tried 3 different brands that all made me feel sick and break out to no end ( due to the biotin) the other vitamins did not offer the DHA and other health benefits either. the price on these are amazing and the pills are medium sized but i never have trouble swallowing. no fish burps or illness but I always make sure to take these during or right after a meal for proper absorption. If you are at a loss on what vitamins to get these are amazing!

Best Prenatal Research Can Find!
I agonized over choosing the right prenatal vitamin. I ended up making an Excel spreadsheet comparing many of the top brands, including Nature Made, Vitafusion, One A Day, Rite-Aid generic, New Chapter Perfect, Rainbow Light, Belly Bar Gummy, Garden of Life, Centrum, CVS generic, and prescription Foltabs. What I found was that Similac had the highest levels of: Potassium Iodide, Calcium, Vitamin C, B6, B3 and Magnesium. It was also the only prenatal that contained Lutein. I also checked to make sure none of the minerals were over the recommended daily limit. (As you know, too much Vitamin A, for example, can have adverse effects.)I was surprised to find (on the FDA website) that many prenatal vitamins, such as Rainbow Light and Rite-Aid, contained LEAD! It seems a lot of manufacturers are able to get around basic safety constraints since prenatals are viewed as a "supplement" and not subject to all the same laws as medications. I was also shocked to see that many brands went out of business when busted by the FDA -- only to later sell the same thing under a different brand name.Anyhow, I talked to my doctor about Similac and he said it was really good that there was the added DHA/fish oil pill, which is good for baby brain development. Of all the pills I reviewed, I feel most confident about taking this one.I've been taking the daily prenatals since April. Thankfully, I have not had any morning sickness or fatigue. I actually feel more energized and mentally alert than usual. I'm not sure if that has more to do with the pregnancy hormones or if the prenatal could be contributing to that as well.I did feel a bit queasy when trying to take this just BEFORE eating. So I just take the pills right after eating a full breakfast each morning and I haven't had any trouble since. I'm not sure what a few people were talking about with the gross "fish burps"... I haven't experienced any of that.

Good prenatal - separate DHA is a big plus
I like these because they're from a trusted company so I know they have really researched what's going in these. They're pretty comparable to other products as far as size, maybe a little bit smaller than some other vitamins I've taken. They do upset my stomach a bit though and the DHA one makes me burp fish - which is pretty gross. To solve that, I started taking them at night. The main reason I chose these over the prenatal vitamins I usually choose is that they have less biotin (which I'm sensitive to) and they're about half the cost since they include the DHA vitamin.

Good quality vitamins
I have been using these vitamins regularly throughout the latter half of my pregnancy. I initially used gummy vitamins, as they were a little easier to keep down during the early months, but I realized the gummies do not contain any iron, which is an important vitamin for pregnancy, particularly as I am not a big meat eater. The Similac Prenatal Vitamins meet all the ACOG recommendations for vitamin content, which was my main deciding factor. They will occasionally produce a fishy aftertaste, but no where near as bad as many of the fish oil vitamins I've taken before. Overall, they are a great option. The only change I might prefer is a single capsule, rather than two, but since that's my only complaint, I'm quite content to continue taking them.

Love it but now can't find anywhere!
I love this prenatal vitamin. It's affordable and has good nutritional value. The one time I tried a different prenatal during my first pregnancy, it upset my stomach so I immediately went back to this one. Now I'm 29 weeks into my 2nd pregnancy and suddenly, I can't find this anywhere... Maybe they've discontinued it? I'm being forced to swap to a different vitamin again and am so upset!

Has all the nutrients that doctors recommend for prenatals & they don't make you sick!
I got a sample of these from my doctor's office after I was already taking the Nature Made Prenatal + DHA. The Similacs had all of the nutrients that doctors recommend, and the Nature Made didn't. After taking the sample pack of Similacs and not getting sick, I decided to go ahead and purchase them for the rest of my pregnancy. I always take them with food just to make sure my stomach doesn't get upset (if I take any vitamins without food I get a little queezy even when I'm not pregnant). These Similacs are great! I still take a Nature Made Fish Oil pill with them everyday for some extra Omega-3's. I will purchase them again for my next pregnancy.

Broken pills
I love this product but it was getting very tiresome to go out to the store every time i needed more. I thought i would do the subscribe and save which is great for me, but when I opened the bottles half of the pills were broken intl tiny little bits. Now I am going to have to toss the broken and powdered bits and waste money. Not happy at all.

no problems yet
I’m 35 going on 36 by the end of the year. Not pregnant, but my husband and I are thinking about starting a family and a friend thought it would be a good idea for me to start on prenatals. I scoured Amazon for a few hours looking for prenatals that had a good dose of everything and found Similac Prenatal and DHA did. A few of the other popular ones I didn’t like because of the herbal content, which from what I’ve read, doesn’t seem to be a good thing. I take these after dinner. Both pills are pretty easy to swallow, but I don’t normally have a problem swallowing pills. Common problem with DHA pills I read was burping fish. I don’t have that problem either. The only difference I’ve noticed is I’m constipated, but I hardly eat any veggies and I could use more fiber in general and drink more water. I’m working on those. I’m going to my OB GYN next month and will see what she says about these. Look for an update.
