Pros: keeps out insects especially at night when letting dogs in and out, the magnetic catch is perfect and it’s super easy to walk through, the screen material really is scratch resistant. My dogs have clawed hard on this and so far no damage.Cons: The French door size is about 4 inches too short but 3 inches too wide. Despite being short I haven’t had an issue with insects getting in. The adhesive will strip your paint. To me the door works well enough to justify having to paint later on.Totally worth the purchase.This screen won’t work well with metal doors or if the door opens outwards so keep that in mind. It works great for my French patio doors (opens inwards, so screen placed on outside sill) but did not work on our kitchen door that enters from our garage because that door swings outwards.

Velcro on both sides of edges of screen, allows reverse installation. I modified mine to open at the center so I could use it on a Clam shelter for camping. Works as expected.

This was honestly better than I expected. I had an older one that wouldn't stay up and the magnets weren't that strong so my expectations were pretty low, but this has worked fantastically and my dog can easily open it to go outside and it will just snap right back shut. Very much worth it.

UPDATE (Dec 30, 2024):After 5ish months, the Velcro has come unstuck in several places from my slider. I was able to limp it along until I took it off for the winter (which was a little bit ago), but this coming spring/summer when it goes back up, I’ll have to get some replacement Velcro that will stay on better. For that reason, I’ve changed my rating from 5 stars to 4. The screen itself is still holding up excellently, so I would still recommend this, I would just also recommend getting different Velcro.——————————————————-ORIGINAL REVIEW:I had a different “as seen on TV” version that I was always complaining about but it was up so I left it. Until it was falling apart after a year and I couldn’t stand looking at it anymore. I found this product when I went looking for a replacement and I couldn’t be happier.It’s the complete opposite of my old version, in every way, for the better! This one feels very heavy duty and well made, with magnets all along the opening so there’s no gaps. There’s Velcro along the vertical sides, with a thicker Velcro strip along the top for more stability. They also include enough mounting tape so that all of the Velcro is covered, resulting in no gaps along the sides/top.Install was very easy, enough so that I was able to do it by myself. I do highly recommend using rubbing alcohol to clean the area first. I had some old residue from my previous version that I couldn’t get off (you can see some of the old mounting tape I couldn’t get off along the right side in the first picture; the black strips), but I just cleaned the area really well with rubbing alcohol while pressing down firmly on the new mounting tape and it seems to be staying well. My sliding door is slightly smaller than the 70x79 mentioned in the listing but this fits perfectly along the plastic siding trim that frames my slider.My house orientation is almost exactly north/south so my slider is in the full sun for most of the afternoon and I haven’t had any issues with the mounting tape not holding up or anything. There’s about an inch overlap between the bottom of the screen and the bottom track of my slider, so that when people or pets come back in, it does tend to get stuck and so the very bottom of the magnets won’t close. A light tap from your foot will fix this though so it doesn’t bother me.I would highly recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a magnetic screen for their door/slider.

This is by far the best screen for our slider. I have compared it to others, and it surpasses them in every way. It is quite durable and has withstood daily scratching from our two dogs as they come in and out. We even left it on during the winter, and an added benefit was that it helped keep the glass much cleaner.

Works and looks great! The magnets don't slide out and pups come and go easily. Started to melt after a few 100+ days, but nailed into place and no more issues. Definitely recommend!

By far the best door screen i have bought. Love how the magnet is all the way down the screen and not just in places like most. Was easy to install and dog friendly. No gaps in the screen goes all the way to the bottom of the door and both sides are sealed tight, only way bugs could possibly get in is at the very bottom where it cant be sealed due to being able to open it. Would recommend if you need a screen for your french doors. Will buy again if ever need in the future.

The product is functional but the don't even bother with the adhesive to attach it to the doorframe. It didn't even adhere to the protective backing and was falling off by the time I unraveled the velcro strips. I will have to nail it in place to keep the screen from falling down, even after scrubbing the doorframe clean and letting it dry just as the instructions tell you to. But it works apart from that.
