Love the brand and obviously so do the hummingbirds!! Before, using other brands, hardly saw any hummingbirds but now they are visiting quite often. This stuff is definitely the bomb !!

I like this product for hummingbird food because it is safe and easier to use than ordinary sugar water. It does not require heating, mixing and cooling. Just add 3 parts reverse osmosis water (I don't use tap....chlorine and chloramines) just to be safe for the birds. NEVER add coloring! Food coloring will kill hummingbirds. Just get a red feeder or a nice glass one with a lot of colors. Hummingbird food must be changed every 72 hours, and it should never be stored for over 1 week. Keep refrigerated once mixed. This product has some sodium benzoate as a preservative, which, based on the manufacturer, I'm going to say is safe. It also will keep deadly, and I do mean deadly to these little birds, bacteria from forming in your bird food. As alway, disassemble, rinse with WATER ONLY--NEVER USE SOAP TO CLEAN YOUR BIRD FEEDER!--every 72 hours when you change the food. And means, yes, take the rubber ring off the bottom and rinse that inside and out, too. This is the correct way to feed these little birds. Take good care of them, and you'll have guests all Summer long! Again--NEVER ADD FOOD COLORING TO YOUR HUMMINGBIRD FOOD.
