No, NO, and UH-UH. Paint/glaze flakes off continually.
I needed a fairly heavy but small bowl for my cat because she loves to scoot the water bowl around and dump it over. To be fair, she couldn't dump this one, so I was happy about that. And it is so cute! BUT KEEP READING...So I took a chance on this little bowl even though there were a significant number of negative reviews. It was inexpensive enough to do so. I figured they had had enough time to fix the problems people complained about. I mean, glazing pottery is not that hard...they've been doing it for centuries, right? However, that was a mistake. After only about a week of use as a water bowl, I noticed flakes of the paint/glaze floating in the water. Yikes! So I rinsed it out really well, thinking, Ok, that will be it and it will be fine. Nope. Keeps flaking off. The pictures shown are after rinsing and dumping and wiping and refilling numerous times. Look closely at pic 1 - flakes floating in the water. Pic 2 is after rinsing it out and then just rubbing my finger along the inside. There were much bigger flakes originally. But the flakes keep coming off.I have no idea if this paint/glaze is toxic or not. I sincerely hope not since it is supposed to be a pet food bowl. But at this point, I don't trust it.Maybe this would be okay if it only had dry food in it, but you have to wash it occasionally anyway, right? I wouldn't chance it. It should get ZERO stars.

I have bought several of these bowls and love them but I'd like to clear up some issues ...
I have bought several of these bowls and love them but I'd like to clear up some issues I have seen people posting.Color- it is not necessarily easily to obtain a rich color in ceramics. In glazing colors can fade leading to these duller colors your receive.Size- these bowls are made by Living World, a company making products for pets classified as small animals. These range from mice to ferrets and chinchillas but can also be used for some reptiles. If they are larger to be sized for a dog or cat then they would no longer fit the cages of the animals they are originally designed for.The inside ridge- again they are not meant for dogs or cats to eat out of. The ridge traps food for them but the animals this is aimed for use their front paws to grab food. They have no issue getting it out of the ridges along the edge.Breaking- it's ceramic. Do I really need to explain that. If you drop it it will break. A dog stepping on it is capable of breaking it due to the nature of the material. That is not the fault of the bowl itself. If used properly you should not have an issue.Overall I have used a single one of these bowls for more than 4 years without any issues. I eventually bought more for other pets including a very fat rat who can sit in a large one without issue. These are great for your small pets.

Great Feeding dish for Bearded Dragon
I actually use this as a feeding dish for my bearded dragon. It is very smooth so my roaches can't crawl up the edges and it's tall enough that super worms can't get out. being slightly angled is perfect for allowing my dragon to come right up to eat and easily reach anything inside.

Keep Cat Food Inside the Dish
Perfect cat food dishes (large bowl)! I'd like to see her throw her food out of the dish now, he he. There was always cat food on the floor around her metal and ceramic dishes, but the lip prevents that action. This is the perfect size--actually larger than I imagined it. Pretty color green--a little more spring green than the pictures show. I'm extremely pleased with this purchase (and so is kitty).

Great bearded dragon bowl.
Awesome bowl! Perfect for our beardie! I've put both crickets and dubias in this bowl and neither have gotten out. Cricket are sm to med size; dubias are small, but I expect a larger dubia wouldn't get out, but not so sure about a large cricket. Glazing on mine was fine.UPDATE 1//4/19: we’ve used this bowl for a few years now, still a pretty good bowl, medium to large dubias CAN get out of the bowl, especially if there’s a lot in there (they climb on ea. other affectively using each other as a step ladder).

YIKES
I loved this for about a week. It’s lip helped the food stay contained for my messy eaters. It is more difficult to clean because of that but it dealt with it. I keep this on a soft carpet and it has never dropped or anything but after just a few washes I noticed cracks. I thought maybe I just missed them upon arrival. Today just one week after the return deadline I picked the bowl up and it broke in my hand. This is not sturdy and I’ll bet if I was using it on a tile floor it would’ve have broke long ago just from the cats moving it. I don’t know how this happens after 5 weeks of use. But I wouldn’t recommend as it could have broke when I wasn’t around and broken ceramic or sharp edges could hurt the cats.

Not As Advertised
The bowl I received is a baby pink instead of the bright pink shown and is 3 x 3 inches (instead of 3.5 x 3.5 inches). The shortest side is 1.25 inches & tallest side is 2 inches. Another reviewer said the glaze is dripping- mine is like that too- it looks sloppy not stylish. I'm not a nit picky person but this is not what is says & shows!(Photo: I found a pink tennis ball at the dog park & put it in the bowl for a size/color comparison)

Sharp under rim
I purchased these because they were cute and stylish and would add a pop of color to my hamsters enclosures.I read a lot of poor reviews but really hoped for the best because I couldn't find much else I was happy with and I ordered a 2 pack. The size was fine. Even the coloring was fine. They are ceramic they won't be perfect. HOWEVER the rim inside the bowls wasn't glazed and coated well enough so the edges were sharp as though it wasn't glazed at all. I couldn't imagine my sweet hamsters crawling into their bowls and digging and being scratched by basic simple movement. It wasn't a risk I was willing to take so I returned the dishes. This HAS to be SAFE for the animals it's for! If it's not safe it's not a good product. I can't recommend it based off MY experience, though not everyone has the same problems so to each their own.I'd also like to say there are SO many bowls on the market I don't know why there are so many people buying these for cats or other larger animals. These are meant for SMALL pocket sized pets.

No lo compren
Tiene un canal interior que hace que las croquetas se vayan a los lados y los gatos no puedan comer
