Impressive.
Most movie watching is done in our main 5.2.2 Atmos setup in the main room, so my expectations were pretty low for this kit. But for its purpose (and purchased used), I'm impressed.Primary use is Streaming and gaming via Xbox Series S (hence the ATMOS).My second-hand gear is usually set-up in my kids' room (no surround due to layout) so they've been using either TV speakers (yuck) or just prior to this sound bar, a nice 3.0 bookshelf/center combo (which I sold off leading to the purchase of this).Set-up is easy, tho the use of Google home as the main software may put some off. But again, simple enough as the software auto-updates once you are connected to Wi-Fi via Google Home, only needing you to press OK/Play on the unit to update.Sound-wise, you're not going not going to theater-like sound, but the ATMOS delivery is quite effective in providing a surround like sound-field and delivering a wide-front sound stage (much better than your TV speakers for sure). Wireless sub isn't boomey but it also doesn't rattle the windows or your teeth; it provides significant bass your TV speakers could never put out. This is the first sound bar I've owned, tho I have setup and used a SONOS wireless bar + surround which is dang impressive and for $200 you get good wireless bass, ATMOS surround (as best as can be expected at this price point) and better sounds than your TV can produce. The negatives are few:- There is no onscreen menu via the units remote. I think they assume you have a TCL TV (which this is paired with) as you can access some features through the TVs remote and menus. The bar's remote is simple enough that you don't NEED an on screen menu, but it might be nice for those that expect one as opposed to needing the google home app for setup to wifi.- The LED standby light. There is NO WAY to turn it off. It's either fully on (to let you know the system is off) or it's BLINKING to let you know it's in standby....it's also BEHIND the fabric covering of the center channel area so you can't really cover it with anything except to put something over it. It's obviously an issue for many as they have it listed in their FAQ/Troubleshooting guide.

My opinion on it
I'm not no professional on this nor do I know if it's gonna help ya'll but hopefully it'll help clear some doubts.1. For me it makes a difference cause I do own a roku tv and basically to connect it to the tv just use the hdmi cord and just put it in the hdmi arc slot on both and it connects and don't forget to hold the pairing button on the subwoofer2. Idk I'm not much a sound person to know difference but it does sound better than a tv speaker and the bass I can hear the diff as well.3. Idk about other people problem with it but mine work well but who knows like something wrong with packaging, some went wrong or something just call tech support that's how I feel at least because so far no problems as this is the day I got mine.4. It's pretty bigger than I thought but I'm not sure about the weight because it felt light to me.So currently it's 2/26/2021 pretty much an update. So bluetooth to get bluetooth to be working gotta manual do it by lightly pressing the bluetooth button on top of the speaker or atleast from my knowledge because I'm not sure how to work the remote way of bluetooth. There was one day that the speaker was not connected to the tv for some reason probably my fault but it was just a quick and easy fix which was a plug out from the arc from the tv and plug it back in.It does have led lights so u can see if it's on or not or whatever else. So far it's working fine.Currently it's 3/19/21Not sure now if it's a me problem or a it problem because I'm not sure if I wired it all the way or its just having problem because now rarely it like doesn't want to connect to my tv but all I have to do is plug it out and plug it in and it's all fine, lol still same issues but easily fix but so far so good.Friday 1/13/2023Everything still works so far, There has not been any problems to this day about it.But it does overheat so make sure air flow is goodIdk what else to write about so I'll update it later if anything happens. Thank you for reading and thank you for your time.
