Needed a grinder to alter the fit
Has a metal section that I had to grind off in order to work correctly for my 2004 Winnebago Minnie motorhome vents. If not removed they would open and close, but once fully closed they would reopen slightly Instead of snugging down. Like for traveling.Made well and sturdy , good value for the money just not an exact match for mine.Work excellent once the alteration was made.

Very good quality
This product is much better quality than the original which had a plastic guide wheel, this one is all metal and works very smoothly!

ordering correct arm length.
item was perfect, just need to make sure when you order you know whether it's a 6 inch or 4 inch arm.

Fit perfect
This saved me a lot of time and money replacing the entire roof vent, and buys me some time to figure out what kind of vent/fan I want installed to replace the original.

Common fitment; sizes listed here. Steel wheel was frozen, and had to grind off the bump
This piece fits the "common operator assembly" as advertised.Measurements:The arm length is not critical. Anything around 6" long would work. Mine replaced a unit 6 1/16" long, measured from the center of its base mount, to the center of its wheel. The new wheel is steel, but mine does not turn. It will have to operate for now as a slider. (My unit was replaced because the old plastic wheel had rotted away and fallen off.)The mounting holes were 2 15/16" apart, measured center to center. The height of the mounted operator was 1 3/16".The new unit came naked. No screws or crank were included. Further, I had to grind and file away a bump on the arm, designed to limit its movement when closing. That bump is not easy to get to with the grinder, and I accidentally ground down a bit of the base part trying to get rid of it. Also, I recommend taping the internal part of the unit closed if grinding or filing down the bump, as tiny metal pieces, (destined to rust) could drop into the inside, and get stuck in the grease that comes factory installed on the gears. Because of the awkward positioning of that bump, I had to finish the bump removal process with a file. The finished part probably should have been painted to prevent rust on the ground down area, but I just put some grease over the area.Because the steel wheel does not turn, I greased the vent cover's slide piece a bit, so they could slide past one another smoothly. I tried turning the wheel, but it seemed completely frozen as if manufactured to only slide, (I believe that I simply received a badly manufactured frozen wheel unit). I thought about sending it back, but needed to get the pieces put together, more than I needed perfect turning of that wheel. I will probably have to buy another one of these when I have more time to paint after bump surgery, and hope for a unit with a turning wheel.Bottom line: It fits and it works, but it is cheaply made, and designed with a limiting bump that many will have to deal with if they want their vent cover to close all the way down. For the cheap price, it was worth getting my RV back on the road, but it's a part I'll be replacing again soon.

Fits 2004 Travel Star CK19 after small adjustment
As noted by other reviewers there are a couple of versions of these latches and it is difficult to ascertain if they are suitable for older RV's. This one fits the aforementioned R.V. as for its lengths. We had to remove a small bulge on the cradle. Took less than 2 minutes to remove with a oscillating saw. A carbide bit on a Dremmel would also work. Installation took less than 20 minutes to complete.
