DYSMIO Lighting 6 inches in diameter - 3-1/4-Inch Handblown Gloss White Glass Globe

I needed a clear, lightweight, glass globe for a ceiling fan I installed that came with a frosted "schoolhouse" globe that just didn't let enough light through. This globe met my needs. It's lightweight, looks good, and transmits plenty of light when using a "daylight" LED bulb. I really like the look of hand-blown glass.

I purchased the Dysmio Lighting 8-Inch Diameter Globe - 4-Inch Fitter Opening Handblown Gloss White Glass Globe. It has a glossy clean glass finish on the outside and a nice frosted white color that diffuses the light . This was used for a bathroom ceiling light fixture that had a four inch diameter opening on the three screw attachment holder but no globe. Just having a bare light bulb exposed not only looks aesthetically poor but it its a potential safety hazard since the bulb is not protected from being broken if bumped and over time moister could damage the exposed socket wiring.This glass globe had been shipped in a double box with shatter resistant bubble wrap packaging. I cleaned a little bit of dust off the outside with a damp paper towel. Then I removed a small product sticker and installed it right away. It fits perfectly and it looks fantastic. I would recommend customers double check fitment by measuring the base attachment with a ruler before purchasing any of these replacement globes. I can't speak for the plastic globes that are offered on Amazon but this hand blown frosted glass globe is an excellent product. Five out of five stars!

this was bought as a replacement for my antique Charlie Chapman lamp that was my grandfather's. The top had gotten broke years ago and I was tired of it looking incomplete. I loved that lamp as a kid and wanted it to look whole again. It fit perfectly and made my lamp happy looking again.

The inside flange diameter is 2.5". My LED light bulbs have an outside diameter of just under 275". My light bulbs won't fit inside the flange of this globe.Why do so many Amazon products fail to provide sufficient information? Providing the maximum light bulb diameter this fixture will accept is a critical bit of information. So frustrating! Now I have to return the globe and find another. No doubt I will need to post the question because I doubt the manufacturer will provide that info upfront.

I love these! They are simple and add a modern touch to our unique home. We put Edison bulbs in them and they look so charming. They weren’t as thick as I imagined, but they are sturdy enough and are good value for your money. Like others have mentioned, the barcode sticker on the glass is a little annoying to remove, and some of them came a bit dusty, so they required a quick cleaning before hanging them. Overall they are worth it, and an easy way to change the look of your home. I’m very pleased!

The Dysmio Globe, which I purchased as a replacement for a broken globe that came with a ceiling light fixture in my home, fits perfectly, and blends perfectly, as well, with the other two existing globes in the fixture. An additional bonus is that unlike the globes that came with the fixture, which are made of glass, the Dysmio Globe is made of polycarbonate, thereby greatly reducing the chances that it will shatter. As a resut, I’m very pleased with this purchase.

After breaking one of a pair of light globes in my bathroom, I visited my local lighting store for a replacement. Since the opening was 3 1/4 inches, there was only one design available which was not appropriate for a bathroom. I immediately went to Amazon and found numerous options in the size I needed. The replacement is not as decorative as the former ones were, but they fit and provide the light I need. They arrived in two days securely wrapped in bubble wrap and in perfect shape. Problem solved!!

Top of globe started melting through and almost caused a fire in my apartment. Wasn’t even given an instant refund - now having to go through the process of shipping the defective product back

The product is ok and fitted perfectly in our ceiling fan. However compared to other similar products it is expensive
