the only decent miso soup mix I've ever found (not for lack of trying)
This mix is helpful on nights when you want a hot soup but have no time to cook, or are traveling. It's a nice-tasting, unexceptional miso soup, very easy to make. Just pour a cup of hot water into a bowl over the mix and stir.I've tried a variety of other mixes and found them to be unpalatable. This one is THE BEST!

The best packaged miso we've tried
My daughter and I love miso soup. I've tried several packaged instant misos and while most were OK tasting such as Kikkoman and Miso-cup, others were so-so and overly packaged such as Anni Chun's and one I bought from a local store (doesn't appear on Amazon). This white miso from San-J is the only one we love. We have it several times a week. I find having a cup of it in the late evening satisfies my snack cravings without a lot of calories. I put the mix in a cup, add some water, heat it for a minute in the microwave, drink the broth, and rinse the cup. Easy, satisfying, and no mess. The warm broth is soothing and filling and fishing around for the bits of seaweed left in the bottom for a few chewy bites makes me happy and keeps me from pulling out the crackers and cheese or ice cream.Finding good soups became a problem for my 18 year-old daughter this year when she decided to stop eating land animals. The thing she misses the most is my homemade chicken soup. She's also one of those "super-tasters" and is a picky eater. She loves this soup and although it contains a little fish powder, it doesn't have chicken, beef, or pork.I bought the box of this and keep it in the cupboard. I think the packages would last a very long time, but I'll never find out.

Love! Always have on hand.
My favorite Miso Soup in general, but hands down my favorite at home Miso soup. Super yummy, consisten quality, tastes just like the Miso soup from the expensive Japanese restaurant down the street. I love to have this on hand all the time for adding to meals, to sip when I don’t feel well, or to eat when I just want something yummy/a little salty.

Quick, easy, tasty--AND
I like the taste of this, and it's quickly made in a mug. No ingredients I can't pronounce. I like adding some snipped seaweed. Note that miso prevents radiation damage, when eaten regularly. Daily we are exposed to that, so it's a healthy thing to be eating.

Great flavor
Tastes just like what you get at the restaurant. Easy to make, just add water.

Equal to or exceeds restaurant quality
Just as good, maybe better, than most miso soups I have had in Japanese restaurants in the US and Asia.

Food of the Gods.
This is, quite literally, the food of the gods. As a globetrotter and perpetual salty-food freak, these little packets contain life-saving deliciousness. I take these with me on long flights and simply ask for hot water. I take them to work with no fuss, no mess, and no compromise. The taste is restaurant-quality and the contents NEVER spoil or expire (at least, not for a millennia, or so). Highly recommend alongside Jasmine rice or a takeaway sushi box. I've found it difficult to locate these in Whole Foods, as I used to, but I will do whatever it takes to hang on to these precious things.

Authentic high quality Japanese soup. I eat two daily.
I LOVE THIS PRODUCT. It is very authentic Japanese white miso with soy bits & & generous amount of nori. I base my intake of sodium; 2/day approximately 1000 mg sodium, half the daily sodium allowance
