Works great and very hardy
I am using this with the Electric Imp and the sample code from the Imp site is easy to use. I connected it using my breadboard and got the power/gnd backwards. The chip got hot enough to smell something was wrong (and burn my finger) however once I fixed the wires, it worked perfectly. I was very pleasantly surprised - usually a cross wire will permanently fry something like this. So I have to give this 5 stars! As you compare different LED matrix - you will also want to notice the placement of the connection pins based on what you are going to use. This is very nice to plug into a breadboard but a little less convenient for including in a 3D printed case but you can easily solder to the back of the board.I like the library to be able to rotate and control intensity. Lots of features.

Works well, learning curve if you've new
The media could not be loaded. I'm new to arduino and electronics, not new to programming. I found the inlcuded wiki confusing. It shows you an example of an animated diagonal line, no explanation of why you are defining anything or even how to just set one single light.Thankfully this works identical to the Adafruit 8x8 matrix and I was able to follow their guide for a clearer answer and can start building :)

Worked great with my Arduino as advertised
Worked great with my Arduino as advertised. Link in description to the Youtube video was extremely helpful. As an added bonus, the matrix was already soldered to the I2C backpack, so no hassle having to do that.

I2C 8x8 LED Matrix, very nice with a Caution
These LED matrix are very nice with good build quality and great packaging. The two I received are RED color LED's only. The product description does not say what color they are. Might get different colors, who knows? There are 3 solder pads to set I2C address variations. The base address is 0x70 (hex.) Runs on the Adafruit LED Backpack library (for Arduino) without modification. Five stars for the product. I have purchased five different items from keystudios so far and all have been great. However...CAUTION: As of this date (1/20/2016) keystudio has 8 product reviews. Every product with any rating has exactly the same 8 reviews. Every review has exactly the same text. Posted on exactly the same date, by exactly the same person. This means that the reviews are planted fakes by keystudio or at their instruction. Seems to demonstrate a great lack of integrity and lack of respect for all customers. Planted fake reviews make the review system worthless. Makes it hard to trust them.

No info ..... Useless for someone who is new to this
No directions what so ever. Looks nice tho

No support
The module lights up with the sample code, but it doesn’t have the standard 5 pin configuration like most LED 8x8 matrix modules have. As a result, I have no idea how to daisychain these and there’s absolutely no support. No responses in their website, and almost no info on the net.

Documentation is improving, only Arduino header files - NO DATASHEET!
I'm sure the board works ok, but the support and work put into the product is lacking. The device is advertised to work with AVR, but you need to write any code for the backpack yourself. The controller driver is a Holtek HT16K33. The documentation on the Keyestudio site feels lacking as a few links were broken, including the one to the datasheet. Not the easiest to work with for my use case and limited timeframe, I'm saving it for use with later Arduino projects.UPDATE:Keyestudio was prompt in asking for a review and addressing my complaints so it does seem that they are trying and I appreciate it, I was told that the wiki site will be improved and the datasheet will be fixed and updated as well. I will further update my review if anything changes.
