Hooke Road Black Door Hinge Cover for 2007-2018 Jeep JK Wrangler Unlimited 4-Door - 8PCS

When I purchased these covers, I wasn't doing it to protect my stock hinges as some might. My Jeep is an 07 with hinges that are corroded and losing paint in spots thanks to rocks and road salt. So I got these to put off the cost of refinishing or replacing the hinges. Due to the uneven surface, I installed them with RTV silicone adhesive instead of the included tape strips. The install was easy and so far I am happy. The adhesive appears to have done a great job of adhering them to the hinges (a point that may help anyone else concerned about the adhesion of the tape). The plastic is thicker than I expected and very opaque shiny black. Note to Opar: you might want to consider a textured black option as well since the rest of the Jeep has pebbled plastic trim. They fit just fine over my hinges, however bubbled paint and corrosion held the covers out from a completely flush fit; not enough to be an eyesore, but probably enough to prevent the tape from contacting had I used it. Again, thanks to the RTV, this wasn't an issue. Overall, I am very happy with these covers. They really improve the appearance of my tired, beat-up hinges.

the adhesion isn’t strong enough. i did have to add more of the 3m auto tape to all of the parts but overall it made my jeep look really good

Easy to put on- took about 20 minutes for all 8. Adhesion was pulling away from plastic and seems very thin. I will buy and add a little more for security.

Installed really easy and the fitment was spot on seem to be holding on very well. I thought they looked good on the jeep.

Extremely cheap material. Two of the top hinges cracked upon installation. The adhesion is horrible. You will for sure have to use your own. One of the bottom hinge covers came off the first time I drove with them on. Overall, not happy with the purchase.

Look good, just don’t stay. Bought 3M tape from an auto store to replace all the original tape, put them on two weeks ago, already lost a bottom bracket. Tape stayed, bracket gone.

Bought these for my 2012 wrangler jk. They fit perfectly and look great, easy to install.

I am happy with the product and got what I expected. My advice for install which made a big difference was clean the surface, heat with a blowdryer both the item and the surface and then press for up to 30 seconds for a secure attachment .
