A relative had some occupational health risers added to their sofa for reasons of arthritis, and I was surprised how much easier it was to get up from than my very similar furniture at home. Wanting the same convenience I found these very cost-effective items that were much less obtrusive than the heavy duty items supplied by the hospital, but still seem to do the same job. They're simplicity itself to just place under the sofa foot if you get someone else to lift the sofa - it definitely needs two people to place them accurately. (That's my story anyway...) Once there the furniture is magically 10cm or so higher, and 25% more easy to get up from!

Perfect for raising the chair so my brother can sit comfortably.

Not suited for wherei wanted to use in a retro lounge. Looked very plastic and out of place plus cups did not hold chair leg firmly as too wide. Great for bed use only

Amazon have a huge selection of various raisers but in the end I chose these because 1) I only needed 4 2) 2” was the preferred height 3) they tolerate a lot of weight and were large enough to accommodate our sofa’s legs. Verdict: perfect. I no longer struggle to get off the sofa which is a 4 seater and we usually have 2 adults and 2 large dogs sitting on it. And considering how much better the sofa is for sitting on, cheap. Definitely recommend these
