Since all the bad reviews are old, I just want to update the review and say that these cubes are GREAT and of decent quality. Perhaps the company took notice and improved the quality. They are not solid wood or cheap particle board, but they are veneer wood. Going with the price and the free prime shipping I took a risk and I am glad I did. I got two of them, they fit perfectly with my decor and just what I needed.They were extremely easy to put together, one person can do it in less than 10/15 minutes, even if you are not handy at all. The holes for the screws sometimes are not aligned (as is the case with mass produced furniture) but nothing that would make them wobbly or not fit properly, a little wiggle here and there and voila!!!I HIGHLY recommend to anyone looking for a fine looking piece of furniture on a budget.Since I just got them I cant comment on durability, but I own other similar quality furniture and if you take care, these things last for years in my experience.

I had a similar cabinet that I bought years ago and was trying to get a match for the other side of the sofa for a long time. I found this one. It arrived in perfect condition and was easy to assemble. All parts fit perfectly. It is almost the exact size as one, as just about an inch wider, so looks great. I like the storage room inside. It does have an initial little odor from manufacturing, but I just let it air out for two days and perfect now! Good little storage cube.

These are a pretty nice product for the money, sturdy and a good color. Easy to put together, took maybe 15 minutes for the two I ordered, just be sure to rotate as you tighten down the screws, so it all comes together evenly. Top fits on nicely. Solid wood components. Great amount of storage space inside for throw blankets and toys. A bit bigger than I imagined, but they work great for my purposes. Useful as extra seating too. Easy to clean, no weird smell except a bit on the inside, probably from the stain, but dissipates quickly. Overall I'm very happy with this purchase and would buy again.

In reading the older reviews I was a bit sad because I'd been shopping for "the perfect" end tables for a couple years. I even thought I was going to have to build them myself (I'm not a wood worker). I wanted them to look like the legs of my living room furniture and didn't want to settle. Then I came across this... "It does exist!"I immediately ordered three and signed up for Amazon Prime because I didn't want to wait a moment longer that I had to. I received two in one day and the third one within the two-day promised delivery time.They turned out to be even more than I could have expected. I would agree with the current reviews but would add one additional thought. The amount of storage these provide is very deceiving (in a good way). I am storing old photo albums, frames and packs of old photos in two and extra fleece couch blakets in the other.Thrilled with the solid wood sides and top (bottom is not) and the bottom edge of the sides is what actual rests on the floor, not the "bottom," which is about 1/2 inch off the floor. The color is pretty true with more of a red-ish hue as opposed to a true brown (not knowing how others' monitors show it). Very simple to put together- eight relatively substantial screws and an allen wrench (included). ...and who can beat the price! Actually contemplating purchasing a couple more...

Bought only one at first as I was a bit skeptical, based on the mixed reviews. It took about 10-15 minutes to assemble - quite simple. I didn't buy this for its storage properties but I envision using it for storing things like table cloths, or similar items that are taken out perhaps once a year and always cleaned before use anyway. I have 2 small kids who are very mindful of furniture but that doesn't prevent them from dinging them up so at under-$50, glad to have something that looks decent but that I can accept the possible ding or accidental scratch. The finish is decent - better than some of similarly-priced IKEA-type furniture available. It doesn't look like laminate, it looks like solid wood. This recently served as an end-table for a party of about 40 guests and it was definitely abused a bit by folks neglecting to use a coaster and it held up fine. Not so much as a ring. As a result, I ordered another one just to have a little symmetry in the room. This is definitely worth $46 and free shipping.

This is a great little storage box, its a great size and is very sturdy. However like other reviews have said it's pre drilled holes are a little off. This one wasn't so bad, I just put everything together loose and tightened it all down once it was together, I did not have to re drill any holes. When I put it together I cracked the wood where one of the screws went in, maybe I applied a little to much pressure, but its not that bad.No tools required, it comes with 8 screws and an allen key.All in all its a decent product for the money, just wish they had a little bit higher production standards. It looks great and is a perfect addition to my living room, I am going to buy another one.

It's a 5 star for a $54 storage cuge (I see it's $67 today, guess I bought just in time before price went it)I took a chance since most of the 2013 reviews said it was fine. Went to together perfectly (holes and grooves are prefect) and took me 10 minutes - and I'm kind of a clutzy woman. Nice rich color - the color and wood grain is true to the pictures. It's roomy (hold my two small blankets, neck pillow, small back pillow, and still room for more). Nice height - just right for end table next to my recliner. Nice and heavy piece, so it's won't move or tip over if bumped.The finish is good all over, but not perfectly smooth like higher quality furniture. But what the heck - if I want a perfect hand done glassy smooth finish I can go to my local modern furniture store and pay $300. So I think it's a great piece for the price. The whole point was to save money, so I am very happy with it.

It's a really beautiful storage cube. Excellent quality. Easy to assembly. I use it as a pot for my palm tree.

Some quality issues are always present with this brand so that is expected. The base is much thinner than it should be but the sides and top are thick and most def solid. I was unprepared for how big it actually is and how heavy.You will need to add pads to protect the floors at the corners as well as silicones inside the lid to reduce movement of the lid if you likeFor those who asked if it can be used as seating, probab.ly , yes. Certainly for lighter people but the top wiggles so its not meant for that. It would absolutely function as a coffee table if you have a short couch. You can get quite a bit inside to hide toys, crafts pr blankets

These are great multi purpose storage cube. I bought two and am very happy with them. I use them as storage for my blankets and as a coffee tables. Perfect if you don't have lots of storage space.
