After trying this cable, I agree with tge general fact that display ports provide a better quality than hdmi cable. My gaming was smoother and the colours were much more vibrant. Also you bare able to access more functionality of your pc with display ports. The cable is as described but I can not comment on the facts about 8K resolution because I do mot have a monitor of that capability. Overall, it is recommendable

Connected my Mac with Dell monitor and the quality of the picture improved significantly.

I was having issues getting my Wacom tablet to work. Turns out the mini DP to DP cable I'd been using was unidirectional, so it only transmitted video data from mini DP -> DP, which meant the tablet couldn't receive the video transmission needed as it requires DP -> mini DP (graphics card to wacom link along with USB-a for data transmission, then converted to USB-c). The tablet instantly worked the moment I plugged this cable in. In short, thank goodness for bidirectional cables, and I can confirm this works perfectly as intended!! If you're using a graphics tablet with a desktop PC but are unable to get a display signal, try this bidirectional cable! Works wonders

If you want to dual screen your Surface pro this is the cable to use, mirror or extend perfect picture and workd for Teams calls too.

I only received this item last week, but it appears well made and seems like it should last. I bought it because I could not get an ultra wide LG monitor to run 2560 x 1080 with a surface book, using mini DP to HDMI on the monitor. As soon as I plugged this lead in, I could access the correct resolution, so all good here.

Gives better display than HDMI, will buy again.

Good video quality and reliable performance. I like the fact that there are no 'teeth' for locking onto my PC or monitor's ports. Those are unnecessary and make the task of plugging/unplugging preternaturally tedious. Great product.

Overall a good Display Port 1.4 cable. Support for 144hz 1440p with HDR and 10 bit colours. Only con: Cable length is too short to use with under the table desktop. You can only use it if PC is right next to the the monitor
