I chose this product over the others because the pattern cards are large with the shapes being the actual size of the wooden shapes so that you can place them right on top of the card. You get a lot of pieces with a storage bag for the shapes. The shapes are made of wood with no rough edges and they are a perfect thickness being that they aren't thick and bulky, but they also aren't too thin to where you could snap them in half. Eliminating some of the bulkness compared to the traditional really thick ones has cut the weight down a lot when it comes to carrying a whole bag of these which is perfect for little kids. It's also nice because it makes a great travel toy if you're going to visit family or friends, or if you have a Dr. appointment or something where you could use a little something to keep your child occupied while waiting.

When I was little I remember playing with these at school and I wanted my kids to play with them also. The cards in this set are really big and have had no issues with them yet. I figure I will laminate them just in case. I have noticed some reviews complaining about the size of some of the pieces. Yes, this set comes with some pretty small pieces but these sets have always had different size pieces that include small pieces. Besides that I use this set along side math for my kindergarten who is a visual learner. 10/10 would buy again.

Biggest problem with this is that difficulty level two three four and five should be color coordinated. All the two star one should be the same color border, three star difficulty should be a different color border, four star different color, etc.As it is you have to sit and pick through and look and count how many stars are solid in order to figure out the difficulty level which is what time consuming it needs to be I should be able to just grab all the green ones for two stars red ones for five yellow ones for four etc.Aside from that the number of blocks in the set is great there's a bag to store them in and there's plenty of patterns.I do recommend some pieces of felt to lay the blocks out on because they are very slippery. Putting myself helps keep them from moving apart from each other especially if you have somebody who has some OCD.

I purchased this for my 2 year old and she loves trying to put them together. The cards are rather easy to bend but overall it is a great gift. My older girls also love playing with it.

I bought this set for my Mom who has had a stroke. I had previously bought Learning Resource Pattern Blocks & Patterns; however, the blocks & pattern boards ( which are well made & wonderful) were too slippery for her liking & would not stay in place on the pattern board. These blocks are well made, bright & colorful, & fit the pattern cards perfectly. Best of all the blocks are not slippery so this will please my Mom. The cards have simple designs, but you could make it more challenging if you recreate the pattern on the picture on the table; instead of laying the pieces on the pattern board. We place the blocks on the pattern board the 1st time & then without. I ws pleased with purchase.

Wood pieces are small. I purchased them for my special needs foster kids. The prices are small but the cards are a good size and it does the job of getting the kids to do the puzzle

Love the very large cards that my child can put directly on the cards to make the picture. Much better than another brand that has cards 1/4 of the size and cannot be made directly on the card.

There is nothing fancy about it. Its simple and good. It is a creative toy, it forces the little one to think and there are many things a child can learn from this toy like color, counting, shapes, names of the object. As I am playing with my daughter I make a design while she works on her own design, sometimes we race so to see who finishes fast. If I am not around she tries to make new things on her on. This toy also lets the child think about what else they can make apart from the provided designs. I had ordered this as a gift for my daughter's friend but I ended up keeping this ordering another set for her friend.I had also bought the magnetic tiles for my daughter and I can see this being equally good toy without the hype.There were no rips or tears. The pack was perfect and I think it was good value for money.

This is a great puzzle and my 3 & 6 year old enjoy it together. There are plenty of templates graded easy to hard (though I don’t always think these are accurate). You can either build the pattern on top of the cards (easy) or alongside (obviously harder). The tiles are quite thin, as others have said, but I don’t think this detracts too much. Great for developing visual and copying skills, as well as dexterity.
