Great adapter. does exactly what it says. No more, no less.
Does what it says and it does it well. has held up to everything we’ve thrown at it. It just works. Even though my wireless access point is supposed to have POE, it doesn’t and is broken. Thankfully the 12 volt side of my AP is still functional. I bought it used so who knows? Anyway, I have been using the adapter probably for 5 months now and it doesn’t get hot or ever cut out.

Super affordable solution to the problem at hand.
My ISP offers APs that create a nice mesh network. They work really really well but need to be plugged into a wall outlet. This was the perfect solution for wanting one in a location that has an available ethernet jack but no power (don't ask me how that happened). I double checked that the wattage on this was compatible with the power that the AP needed and since it's coming from a PoE switch its been working perfectly for upwards of a year now.

Excellent POE Insertion Device
Worked very well - allowed me to run one CAT6 Cable instead of running the Data (Cat6) cable and a separate 12V line.

Wanted it for Echo Hub extension behind the wall
This devices works but it will not work for Echo Hub. Read that POE injector and this usb c device would do the trick but it didn’t. For Echo Hub what worked was using Male/Female USB Breakout Board to 4 Pin Screw Terminal Block Connector. I extended the wire between these terminals and used the Echo Hub white cord(usb c). This allowed me to run the extension from the ceiling to the wall mount location. You need to connect all 4 terminals to the extension wire and the Echo hub will power up fine. If you connect only the power terminal on the breakout terminal block, you will get an insufficient power sign on Echo Hub.

Incredibly useful and a good value
Cheap and works great to convert low power non/POE devices into POE devices. I have it powering a 2.5gb desktop switch that did require a 12v 1a barrel jack, this adapter let’s me remove the plug and free up an outlet. It's also useful if you need 12v power throughout your house and you have ethernet keystones connected to your POE switch. Just for fun I was able to power up my Pinecil soldering iron with it.My only complaint is that mine has a loose component or broken plastic clip inside of it, it rattles and makes me concerned about its longevity.

Will be getting more of them.
Worked perfectly to turn a non poe camera into poe. Make sure you know your devices power requirements as this is a 2 amp and some others are only 1 amp.

Avoid these. They don't test before they sell.
They don't test before shipping! I always 'bench test' an item before installing it, to save a lot of lost time and head-scratching. This is rated at 2A @ 12V. At only 150ma its output sags to 11.3V (too low). At 200ma it drops to 10V, and after 30 seconds, shuts down. Then it cools for a moment, and the cycle starts again. The 48V injector I was using stayed steady at 48V the whole time. How can you ship a networking device without testing it first? Beware, all the other 'brands' that look exactly like this one ARE exactly the same model.
