Q: Reports of previous models having backdoors & tracking your browsing history. Anyone verify this model is safe? Any 3rd party firmware that works?

This model is not IPv6 compatible which is very strange since its not hard to add IPv6 compatibility when designing a new router from the ground up. In theory it would be much easier to spy on you if internet traffic was using IPv4 tunneling to make IPv6 connections. This spying would look like the normal work of a tunnel adapter. I also find it odd that this model has only 3 Ethernet ports. Why would the manufacturer limit the number of ports when 4 is the industry standard? There's plenty of processing power to switch 4 ports. Why conserve switching power? All my questions to this manufacturer about IPv6 compatibility have been ignored.

Q: this router looks interesting, anyone have any issues with this router? any info would be great thanks

I have this router inside my shed and this keeps crashing and stop working. My smart swtich, camera and other devices inside the shed just loose connection when the router crash and I need to go there and reboot. Not worth the money.

Q: Why doesn’t US customer service not answers emails or voice messages. Warranty number is not working. 9 month and ding, WiFi radio broke.

Q: Do i need to purchase a modem if i use this? i currently have spectrum router/modem. i am not computer issue wise at all.

This works with spectrum/TWC internet. After Initial setup, keep the router ON and restart the Modem. The router will start working. Select DHCP in Connection type.
