Verbatim CD/DVD Jewel Cases (0.41 inches) - Black- 200 pack (Bulk) - 94867

I bought this pack of 50 slim cases because it looked like the best deal. I knew what I was buying when I placed my order, but for everyone else...These cases fall in between the paper sleeves and the tradition CD cases. Definitely more protective than a sleeve. I had to apply pressure to the two upper and two lower enforced spots of the case to get it to "click" and close properly. Nothing will prevent the disc from flying out as soon as you open the case. The circular nub meant to hold a disc through the center hole is basically useless. But if you are looking for something to simply transport discs and not strongly secure and protect them- this may be the case for you.

When you click the DVD in place, it does not stay firm. I bought it for my business to send home client CD's and DVD's. I had to tell all of them to make sure it clicked shut all the way around so it wouldn't fall open, and make sure you hold it with the dvd on the bottom so it doesn't fall out if it slips off the clip that is supposed to hold it.It was frustrating because I read reviews and look at how many stars to make sure I get the best product for my customers and it hurts my reputation when the cases are not top quality, let alone built well enough to hold the cd in. I should not have to give instructions to them to make sure their precious pictures (videos etc.) get home and remain in good condition.

Now, I recalll my experience with these Verbatim Slim Jewel cases. They are brittle and very easy to break even with careful handling. Granted they are cheap, and there is a very good reason why. Many of them arrived with the hinge tabs broken, but they were undiscovered until I started putting in the discs. I CANNOT RECOMMEND THESE!

I can't give this 5 stars because of broken cases. I like these cases...they are simple, colorful and easy to use. I like being able to color code my disks. But five cases came broken in the box...on the bottom hinge. It's obvious that the product was either hit or dropped...but its not worth shipping back for 5 cases and I needed them asap for a project. The shipping packaging was fine...you couldn't tell there was damage until I took off the cellophane, removed a couple of cases and found the broken pieces underneath.

These cd cases arrived in a box with no padding. Nowhere on the box was written fragile. I am surpised more than 10 weren't damaged. I returned and was sent a replacement, which was shipped the same way. Only one was broken but usable, and three were chipped. These cases are too fragile to be shipped this way. I don't recommend unless they change their shipping practices.

If you have a lot of CDs and DVDs taking up storage space, these thin attractive cases are definitely the answer. Many manufacturers are going to cardboard folders for CDs and I find many of them are hard to get the disc out of. These are approximately 3/16 ths of an inch thick (.180 in. or 4.5 mm) and have tabs for fitting the Identification sheet or folder in the inside face of the holder. It also clearly shows the disk if the info is shown on the disc face. I have been using them for some time now and find them sturdy and functional.

I really like these cases. I have been using mostly Verbatim for over 10 years with only minor issues. There are some complaints that some break easily or some might be broken. Given the cost, I expect that occasionally I will run into a case or two that break.I prefer the colors for organization, easy to find, and they just look better then boring black cases. The thin profile allows you to store a CD/DVD almost anywhere but still provide protection. Eventually, physical media will enter our history books permanently but until then. Buy these cases, they are great for just keeping in a closet as needed.

I purchased the Verbatim Slim CD and DVD Storage Cases - 50 Pack - 5 Assorted Colors 94178. They were packaged well and shipped fast. There were no broken cases or hinges. These are what I consider very basic storage cases, and they come in five colors (blue, purple, orange, pink, and orange). They're not thick or sturdy, but I didn't expect them to be. They're thin plastic for compactness. The hinges will break easily and the cases will crack easily, exactly like the ones you buy in big box stores. They're not amazing protection, but they're decent storage. Both CD's and DVD's fit with no problem. Considering the price and the number of cases, for storage purposes & basic protection, it's a good value.

Verbatim quality cases, they cost a bit more, but are worth it.

I had ordered two boxes of these jewel CD cases (100 cases) Received super fast, which I was pleased about. One of the boxes of 50 were excellent, the other, although looked undamaged, ended up with 12 jewel cases that had broken hinges. I use A LOT of these cd cases to sell my music CD's, and I have NEVER received any that were broken before. So now I am going to look for another Amazon seller for these. I paid for 50, NOT 38 cd cases. I will edit this review and the amount of stars if seller contacts me.

The Verbatim CD/DVD Slim Jewel it's a very good case to my CDs/DVDs, protecting them perfectly, and the price it's good. If you compare with others brands and also in others stores you will see that there are a great variation for the price, and at the end, all of those cases has the same material and design. I am satisfied with this shopping through Amazon.ca.
