Seventh Generation Extra Strong Tall Kitchen Draw String Trash Bags, 50 Count

I love seventh generation garbage bags. They are 65% post consumer recycled plastic which is important to me. We recycle and don't produce a lot of trash so we let these bags get as full as possible before taking them out. They have no problem holding everything. I usually buy them from Grove Collaborative and they are much cheaper there but they did not have them in stock and I'm almost out. They do not have a scent which I prefer as some bags are sickeningly sweet smelling.While I love this product I am not happy with the way I received it - in a bubble envelope with the box barely able to hold the bags inside. Since the box itself is the dispenser for the bags, I will be sure to tape it up so it works properly.

Simply put, these are the best kitchen trash bags I've ever used. The fact that they're more eco-friendly than most is just a bonus. These don't rip easily like lots of other brands I've tried over the years. They're not bulletproof or anything, so don't expect them to hold up perfectly to whatever you throw in them. But for regular household garbage, you can't ask for much better that this.

I can't believe I'm writing a review about garbage bags, but these are so bad, I feel a civic responsibility to do so. The drawstrings on these bags rip away with any pull at all. We have to double-bag ahead of time, and then be sure to double the strings together before tying, and we have to make sure we're grabbing the bag itself and not trying to carry by the drawstrings when taking it out to the bing. We recycle quite a lot and we also do food waste composting so the garbage bags are not getting a big workout. These are just terrible. I'm looking forward to using them up so I can find a different brand. Disappointing. I like that they're recycled, but it rather defeats the purpose having to use two at a time...

Unless you are very careful pulling on the drawstrings, they break. You almost have to ease the top of the bag very slowly along the drawstring. I bought a box of 50 so I will be putting up with this for awhile. The bags themselves are pretty strong.

To answer several questions: these are standard, unscented 13 Gallon white trash bags with yellow drawstrings. They are made from recycled materials but are not biodegradable. Regardless, we're pleased that they are at least somewhat environmentally responsible.We ordered two boxes of these and used about 15 bags before we noticed a pattern of the bags regularly ripping at the top or the drawstrings breaking when tying them off. Seventh Generation's customer service was great and, after explaining the issue, they did send us a replacement box. I was impressed by their responsiveness and willing to help. They explained this was not normal for this product.I will say the replacement box has been better, but we still find some of these bags ripping, mostly at the top. But we continue to use these and have bought more because they're otherwise good bags made from recycled plastic.

These things are awesome. I wanted recycled bags but I was worried that they would suck so I originally bought only the 20 pack. I just realized the other day after looking on my Amazon orders that the pack lasted me 5 months!! Apparently we don't create a lot of trash lol, we used less than one bag a week and they were recycled. That makes me very happy. So this time I bought the larger pack. These are about the same price as the much larger bulk brands for recycled bags but you don't have to store the huge boxes. They are strong but not as strong as the big name non-recycled ones in stores. I have had glass rip a hole in them before, but other than that I have had no issues with leaking or tearing. I bought these because they're environmentally friendly in comparison to leading brands. Unfortunately, the bags rip easy and so do their ties. They fall into the garbage can a lot and are not scented which isn't a problem, but we usually buy force-flex and there really is no comparison. The force flex bags are more efficient all around.

I purchased these in an ongoing effort to reduce waste and use more eco-friendly products around my home. The price was more than other similar products that aren't as eco-friendly, but when I purchased, I was comfortable with what I paid. The bags do not have a strong scent, if at all. They have performed just as good or possibly better than other products. They fit my 13-gal. trash can easily and the ties work well. I have no complaints - no smelly trash, no tearing bags, no leaking, nothing! Very happy - will purchase more when needed!
