An addendum to my review: Amazon customer service made it right with a refund on the grab bar.This review applies to Moen, not AmazonI am furious. The installation video for this product shows it being installed with wall anchors made by Moen. The wall anchors DO not come with the product nor does the template shown in the installation video. This is bait and switch on the part of the manufacturer or plain stupidity. Now I have open the product which I need to install yesterday. It is not clear whether the wall anchors come in one packs (WT*) or two packs. Grab bar served as functioned. Not much more to say about that. I wanted a grab bar that would extend and mount from stud to stud without having to buy specialty anchors and this served the purpose well. One noteworthy mention; I made the error of measuring the grab bar length and excluded the fact that additional surface area would be necessary for the mounting plates. This was sort of a pain for me, because the room that we installed this in didn't have the extra 1/2" or so on either side, and it resulted in me having to pop off a piece of door trim in order to fit the bar. So try to include this in your calculation when sizing, that it isn't just the length of the bar alone.Much cheaper alternative to the big box store pricing. HD wanted the same price for half the size of a bar.

I've installed about a dozen of these in three houses for family members. They are sturdy, attractive, and have new innovative hole spacing in the flange to make it easier to get several screws into a narrow wall stud. The peened finish looks and feels nice. Pay close attention to how you install them, as they are intended to save your life if you slip. I put a long horizontal bar across the back wall and a short vertical bar by the edge where we step out of the tub or shower.

This was an extremely easy bar to install on the open studs of our garage, for safety while going up and down its concrete steps. As space is tight there, I particularly like that the bar takes up minimal space. I'm also impressed by the effectiveness of its non-slip grip.Definitely recommended!

Installation was pretty straight forward, I installed it on the wall studs and it is very secure. The person I installed this for now has a renewed feeling of safety and independence while taking a shower.

Installed vertically into studs beside shower stall. Very sturdy and secure. Nice looking. Peened surface easy to grip.

These are just what we needed for the ADA compliance. They look professional and inconspicuous!
