Worked perfectly for what I needed. We aren't talking Dewalt quality here (as some others have mentioned) but it seems like it would hold up to long term daily use if you treat it well. In my case I only needed it for a few in and out trips inside my cable box. I'm not advocating people doing anything illegal with these things but in my case (and I'm sure many others) when the cable company who is part of the MOCA alliance doesn't even know what MOCA is I have no choice but to enter the box myself to modify an amp and some obsolete splitters... For this use the tool is perfection. Great that it's PRIME as well as it was here before I could blink.

I bought it because the Comcast tech put a lock on the splitter which i had to connect to.... there aren't any better options available. The tool feels cheap, but you just use it very carefully (not to break it), and it does the job just fine. A good tool for my work toolbox just in case i need it, does the job if you use it carefully, and it's dirt cheap of course.

Don't think it would last using all day every day, but for a homeowner, it's more than adequate. And these are not just for stealing. I wanted to disconnect a couple of 'dead' leads exiting the box as they at best cause reflections that can affect the signal quality and local rf interference. Ended up replacing the enclosed splitter with one with fewer taps.

This is definitely a handy tool for hooking up and servicing your own cable equipment to avoid waiting, and paying extra, for the cable company to do what you can do yourself. I used this tool to unlock the terminator lock on my cable box and diagnose why none of my interior outlets were getting any signal (turns out the cable company put a powered splitter in my box, but didn't leave me the required power adapter for it...).This tool didn't have any issues screwing and unscrewing the terminator locks I had to move around and didn't seem to be stressed or fragile while in use. For the money, I'd say this tool is a good value.

I work for a cable company, and I had lost my original that was provided for me and needed one this is a very nice terminating tool. Works nice functions and does what it is supposed to do. Only down fall is that this thing length wise doesn't fit into tight spaces. With a little enginuity works well if you just work with it and figure it out.

Easily open cable demarcation box to check connections. My cable company refused to do a free truck roll to check missing channels, low signal and pixelated images due to the fact that I used a TiVo box instead of their equipment. I gave up on the CS nightmare and purchased this tool to open the box. Of course I found loose connections that I was able to tighten myself. Presto, my channels returned along with higher signal. Too bad I had to do the job myself for cable, phone and internet that I pay >$100/month for.Tool took over a month to arrive. It is rather cheaply made and feels flimsy, but does the job easily. I don't expect it to last more than a couple of uses.

I purchased it for personal use to being able to lock my cable box which was left unlocked by cable company technician after service appointment. The tool worked as intended, and its build quality did not raise any concerns. For novice users - this tool does not lock the cable box on its own. A separate lock cylinder is needed to be installed and driven by this tool.

This tool was what i needed to hook up my cable without waiting for the next days Comcast appointment (and missing work for it..).The previous tenants in my apartment had satellite, and comcast had installed a locking terminator on the hub inside the cable box, blocking me from reconnecting my line.I expect a crappy tool for this price, but i didn't care since i only needed it remove one connector. I was pleasantly surprised at the tool's quality. I'll probably never use this again, but if i needed to, i could probably get a good bit of use out of this.

Needed to open the access door on cable hook up box on outside of house. Had a wasps' nest and needed to get rid of it. Called Shaw Cable to see if it could be opened if service person was in area so I could get rid of nest at their convenience. Shaw stated they would send out a cable tech and charge me almost $28.00 for service call and would have to watch me clean the nest out and re-lock it. I've been a paying cable customer for years and was not trying to steal cable. I thought a service charge to unlock a box was ridiculous so came on Amazon and seen this product and ordered it. Worked perfect, got rid of wasps nest and saved myself $20.

Worked for my application. Definitely not a high-quality tool for daily use, but very reasonably priced, it worked and should work many times more.
