The Illustrated Compendium of Amazing Animal Facts

My granddaughter showed this book to me. She had it completely memorized and was spouting off animal facts I had no knowledge of. I started reading it and couldn't put it down. I read a lot, mostly historical novel by top authors. And yet this has become one of my favorite books.

I use this for an after school group I teach. We have a new animal theme every week and sometimes use this book as a closing game pulling different trivia facts out and discussing them. The information is simple but interesting enough that I can use it for a wide range of ages, K-5th grades.

Such a fun book for curious little animal lovers! I purchased this as a gift for a friend's son and he loved it. Also, I learned a few interesting facts myself! And the illustrations are just whimsical.

Bought this for the cool illustrations, but love it because it's full of the random kinds of animal facts that kids love. I got it as part of my ploy to get my kids to read over the summer voluntarily, and they all read through this book with great interest. Of course, then they proceeded to spout their animal trivia knowledge to the rest of the adults in the family, but as long as it got them engaged I'm cool with it.

I bought this for my husband for Christmas, what a mistake! It's a child's book. I thought it would provide interesting facts about animals in an adult manner. Too much money for a kids book that I'm not interested in. The title is deceiving leading one to believe its for adults. What kid knows the word "Compendium"?

Such a fun and interesting book! The random facts are so fun to learn and talk about. Adults and children alike can easily be entertained. Buy this book it’s awesome! The illustration is also impressive, simple and beautiful. I desperately hope there are more to come from Maja!

A clever and intriguing collection of animal anecdotes. Nicely illustrated. Sure to please children and adults alike.

Every page brought forth a "I never thought of that before."I will now look at these creatures with more respect. I am reading this for the second time. Also I am sending a copy to several friends

I brought this book for my son, as I have been following the author for a while through instagram. The book is lovely, small hardback but loads of pages with beautiful illustrations. This would make a lovely gift for a young child interested in animals (and let's face it what child isnt)

Brilliant book, the facts are very interesting for children and adults

Lovely little book filled with interesting animal facts. My daughter was very pleased to receive it amongst her Christmas gifts, and we have been hearing about random animal facts ever since!

The illustrations in the book are beautiful and the animal facts are funny and cute.I bought this as a present for Christmas and the person receiving was happy with it!
