Lenox Tools PT 1779801 2L Arbor with 4-1/4-Inch Pilot Drill Bit for Hole Saws

These arbors are wonderfully heavy duty and quite easy to use. Combined with the Lenox hole saws, these will handle oak, maple and other hard woods effortlessly, and even cut sheet metal extremely well. Compared to smaller hardware store hole saw sets, the Lenox tools are far superior. Heavy duty to say the least! I can imagine the "fast change" style of arbor might be easier, but this is relatively simple to use: just unscrew the top bolt, slide the two pronged locking part upward, and screw on the new hole saw. Once screwed onto the arbor, the locking part slides down, and the prongs go into holes on the saw. Tighten the bolt and you are ready to go. This creates a very strong hole saw, and there is NO movement of the saw and arbor, even when cutting metal. These are impressive tools and work beautifully for both wood and light metal. I'm impressed!

This is easy to change hole saw bits and it’s designed to remove core material from inside the hole saw fast and easy without a screwdriver, just push it forward and the two pins pop the material right out, then slide it all the way back, and you’re ready to change hole saws. This is the only mandrel I use, I’ve thrown all my other ones away and have 2 of these at all times.

It is an arbor. It holds hole saws just fine. Nice solid product

The Arbor in the box is not the picture on the box it comes in. I have a quick connect on my drill and need the same shank.

Very rice friendly to be as durable of a product as well as being brand name.

It took a second for me to figure this out as there weren't any instructions, but once I did, it worked/fit perfectly. Unfortunately, I didn't pay attention to the shank size because it didn't fit into the portable, chuckless drill I wanted to use. I had to bust out the large electric drill for this bit. No biggie, but make sure you know the size of your drill before buying. Still gets 5 stars!

I bought this to replace a 2L Arbor I had, and what I received in the box is NOT a Lenox product; it's low quality and the machining is very poor. Returned immediately. Avoid!
