Better than advertised!
This is an impressive set for the money. I purchased this set to use in our new camping trailer but they are way too nice to keep hidden away. They have a perfect mirror finish and arrived without a scratch or dent. They are heavy duty, not thin and flimsy. The lids fit perfect and the handles work perfectly as well. The multilayer bottoms distribute heat very uniformly. There is nothing mediocre about this set. When nested, they take up very little room in a cabinet. The handles slide into a flange that is attached to the side of each pan. The handles clip securely and release easily without binding or sticking. The attachment hardware is robust. This is a well-made cooking set that could easily clean up a lot of clutter in anyone's kitchen and look fantastic doing it. They do not have a non-stick coating. I personally prefer cooking in pans without a coating as they always flake or chip off in time and the thought of unknown material in our food is unpleasant to me, to say the least. My wife points out that the pans can go from the stove top burner right into the oven for certain recipes because the handles are removable. I don't think they are ever going in the camping trailer after all. So often in life, we get less than we pay for, with this set I believe you are getting more than you pay for.

Hands down the best nesting cookware I've ever seen!
Great deal for a quality set of nesting cookware! This set is very high quality and very well made. Nice and heavy, the cookware heats evenly and does a great job. I called Magma and was told the handles are heat resistant, but are not flame proof. Also, as stated in the literature, the pots/pans aren't designed to work on higher heats. So you can't expect to crank it up on high and not damage your handles. Just use a little common sense. For me, it's not such a big deal to take the handles off while they are on the stove. In fact, I love that the handles can be removed and not get in the way of each other or have the potential to be knocked while I'm working around the stove. The handles themselves aren't solidly fixed, so expect them to wiggle slightly once engaged. But they are well designed. Once engaged you can shake the pan around and it will not fall off. To keep the pans in good condition I cut some felt circles based on the cardboard spacers the set gets shipped with. Or just keep the cardboard spacers. Overall, this is a great set and will be the last set of camping cookware you'll purchase. They are also plenty good enough to use at home.

Delighted when I opened the box!
Came home to a package on my doorstep today.First thing: I couldn't believe the weight of the package, wasn't expecting that! A good sign!Unpacked the box and was blown away by the quality of this cookware.18/10 stainless steel, highly polished, thick, heavy bottoms...everything you want in quality cookware. And...made in the USA, not China...a big plus in my book. This is NOT cheap, light "RV"-ware quality stuff...it's every bit as good as what you'd find in a well-equipped home kitchen. I have All-Clad at home, and this is every bit the quality of the All-Clad.The nesting is awesome, it all fits into a neat, easy to store package. Will be so much easier to stow in my Airstream than the couple of pots and fry pans that I have now.The only thing I would have liked to see would be the handle anchors attached to the pots with rivets, instead of spot welds. But hopefully these will hold up in the long term.People have said they are worried about the plastic handles, shouldn't be an issue if you don't let the handle sit over the top of burner. These do not have the pot protectors by the way, it seems sometimes they've been included, others not. But I wouldn't buy the expensive ones from Magma. I am going to use some rubberized anti-slip shelf lining I already have that I line my Airstream shelves with. You can get it on Amazon for under four dollars for a 12-foot roll, then cut to fit, and plenty of leftover for other uses.If you are looking for quality cookware for camping, boating, or even small apartment living...this set will NOT disappoint you.

love these pots
I'm a minimalist,I love to cook & always want the best quality kitchen stuff possible. These pots rock. They're heavy duty, hardcore pots that cook evenly & can take some abuse all the while nesting compactly inside of each other. The handles are tough & can handle the weight of whatever is in the pot. At first I was disappointed to see they came with two handles...I was all like, "great an extra handle to figure out what to do with." Then I have 4 burners going & realize having two handles is quite convenient. The only downside to these pots is they only come with two lids. This is a downside when you have more than two preps going simultaneously that need to be covered. Otherwise you can't beat these pots. They are wicked heavy, so may not be the best choice for folks who need to carry their gear (i.e. backpackers, hike-in campers, etc)Also the company who I bought these from through Amazon kept calling me...like 3 times to rate my experience, all while I was at work. So that was highly annoying. After I gave them a piece of my mind, they ceased calling. I'd recommend vendors send a follow up e-mail instead of calling...
