OTTERBOX Commuter Series Case for LG G5 - Retail Packaging - Black

Once again a great product from OTTERBOX - A brand you can not go wrong with- Pros-Fits the LG G5 perfectlyIs a slim case that is light and fits into my pocket easily and provides more than enough protection.The only few slight negatives I have noticed (for some people) is that the case is slick, it does not have any type of grip. It may be a inadequate case for some if they have trouble holding things and if that is the case the Otterbox Defender would be right for you. If you are like me though, it is no slicker than the actual phone and is easy to handle.Number two is the screen protector provided - It is flimsy and does not cover the entire screen (the top curve part), So I would recommend purchasing a good screen protector. But when I bought this I knew that from prior reviews and purchased one along with the case, I was buying the great case not the screen protector.Number 3 - I do not use the modules that the phone is capable of using but if you do the case is not module friendly. The case is easy to get off and on but with the case on, the modules can not be used.Definitely would recommend to anyone though. You can not go wrong with this trusted brand.

It seems durable. I love the look. It fits the phone snugly so I don't have to worry about it trying to come off. Very well priced. Overall a really nice case.Edit: I had to deduct a star. These cases are an unholy nightmare to remove. I understand making them snug, but there's no excuse for them to be this hard to remove. My husband had to fight with it for over 15 minutes just to get his phone out! (Fyi - we're both in our 30s, so it's not like we're older or anything.)I do battery swaps daily (one is always on charge) because I use my phone so heavily. I'm debating returning the one I ordered for myself. I'm not sure it's worth the fight to remove them.

This case was a lot slimmer than I thought it would be. Sturdy though. Two minutes after I got it on my phone fell out of my coat pocket and hit concrete. No damage! Not even a scuff!Microphone and speakers both work with no muffling. I use a Bluetooth headset when I'm at the gym and have had no disruption of service. The case doesn't obscure the screen in any way, or get in my way with typing/swype/etc.The outer "hard" case is a smoother plastic, and the inner flexible case is more grippy. I don't have problems with it sliding out of my hand or off tables. Goes in and out of pockets easily. The buttons are a little stiff to use, but there's no "accidental" pushing when you pick up the phone, which is nice. The port covers didn't want to flex open at first, but after a few times they got more flexible. My charger plugs in fine with no hampering from the case. I've not tried the audio jack as my headset is wireless. The screen was a bit of a booger at first. Make sure you get it down completely, no bubbles. Lift the flex case over the screen. Once all is in place, it's solid and very functional with no issues.All in all, Love the case!

I bought the pink one. It definitely feels pretty tough. The case is two parts: a soft, rubbery jacket inside (the darker pink parts), then the outer case, which is hard plastic (lighter pink).Pros:-Looks really great-Tough-Affordable-Anti-dust plugs fit well (for charger and headphone jack)-The edges stick up probably a good 1/4 inch above the screen, which means extra protection if it fails and lands face down.-Feels like it will really protect my phone, without adding too much bulkCons:-The hard part of the case is not rubberized, and it's pretty slippery sometimes, especially while sitting on a hard surface like a table or something. If bumped while lying on a table (screen up) it could easily slide right off.-The anti dust plug makes it a little more difficult to plug in the chargerIt's not hard to get on, but it's not super easy, either. I haven't had to take it off yet but I imagine if you wanted to swap your battery daily or use the modules it would be a real pain in the ear.Overall, I like it a lot. Looks really nice and feels tough as nails. It loses one star for not being rubbery enough (or something) to provide better traction, both in and out of your hand.

This cover is great. It fits nicely. I'm a carpentry contractor, so my phone is subject to weather, sawdust, and an endless opportunity for destruction. It is one of few cases covering the ports which are normally subject to sawdust and pocket lint (which cause poor connections later.) And yet the port covers open easily enough to make the connections as needed. The raised edge on the front helps to keep the screen protected and keeps it still on the dash of my work truck when I toss it up there. Just the right combination of "grip-able" material balanced with slippery so you can take it out of the pocket without pulling the pocket inside out. Volume keys are perfectly responsive and never activated due to case pressure. Nice fit around the LG-G5 dual camera lenses too. Doesn't effect the wide angle shots, etc. The dark color of this case compliments the phone very well, and doesn't scream "hey, look at my cheesy phone case!" Handles dirt well, cleans off easily. Won't look weathered or dingy, like those "white" phones do.
