My jerky gun has become one of my favorite tools in the kitchen, especially when I’m prepping ground jerky or biltong for road trips and overland adventures.This one came with a ton of accessories, different nozzles and even a nice carrying case that makes it easy to store in the pantry without losing parts.It’s a solid upgrade over the cheap plastic model I used to have, which cracked after just a few batches.The metal construction is exactly what you want. It feels sturdy in the hand, loads easily, and cleans up without much hassle.Whether I’m making spicy biltong strips or classic jerky for the trail, this thing just works. If you’re into homemade snacks for the road, skip the plastic ones and invest in something like this, it’ll last and save you frustration.

The media could not be loaded. If you have weak or arthritic hands, this jerky gun is for you.It's easy to load with the included funnel and plunger. The funnel is a little difficult to get on, you need to back screw it first to get it lined up and I couldn't get it screwed on all the way but that didn't effect it working.Push the metal lever on the handle to pull the plunger all the way back so you can load it, make sure the little covered screw is tight at the base of the plunger inside the tube.Don't over fill, you won't have room to put on the nozzle. It comes with a variety of nozzles, flat, round and double round.It's very easy to squeeze the meat out of the tub with the trigger handle.I gave "easy to clean" 3 stars because the nozzles are two pieces and meat gets stuck in the crease where they join together. I had to use a toothpick to get the meat out of this groove. Also a little meat got behind the plunger and into the holes at the base of the plunger which can't be taken apart. A one piece nozzle would eliminate this problem.This is also why I gave this product 4 stars instead of 5.It is the easiest and best jerky gun I've found. Sturdy parts and easy to use, comes with cleaning brushes and a nice bag to pack it in for storage. And it comes with good directions for jerky.I included pictures of my Nesco dehydrator because it's great at making jerky or anything that needs dehydration, I've had this one 15+ years.

I’ve used 3 or 4 different jerky guns over the years, this is by far the worst. Narrow tube is difficult to load, even with the screw-on funnel piece that’s included. I noticed a drastic decrease in capacity each time I reloaded the tube. When I finally took the tube off to see what the deal was, it was packed solid with meat. Meat bypasses the plunger, and after 3 fills, nearly half the tube behind the plunger was packed tight with meat. Not exaggerating, half the tube. It also creates a seal that doesn’t allow any air to escape, so you’re left with air pockets when loading meat. I have to remove the tube every refill and remove the meat built up behind the plunger. It also makes a horrible mess of parts that aren’t intended to be easily disassemble and cleaned. The flat strip nozzle also shoots thinner strips than I’m accustomed to making. While this would help the jerky cook faster, it also takes up roughly 1/3 more rack space, so I had to switch to the round nozzle so I could fit more in order to fit all of the meat in my smoker. It took 2 hours to wrap up what is usually a 30 minute task. I bought this as a replacement, it was well past the return window when I got around to using it, I tossed the box, brushes, and all accessories right into the trash can, I won’t be bothering with this product. There are many others out there, I recommend avoiding this one.

This appears to be a fairly well built jerky gun. However after grinding 6lbs of meat and preparing for the dehydrator, I opened my brand new jerky gun only to find I had no nozzles included.Update- contacted the company by email, seller made everything right. Quality is professional grade compared to that plastic nesco I was using.I had to resort to my older plastic nesco jerky gun to complete the task.Non returnable item according to Amazon. Email sent to seller... We'll see what happens.

I wish I had bought this years ago. Very high quality and works great. I had an old plastic jerky shooter that I had used for many many years and decided to finally upgrade, This gun more than cuts my time in half to fill the dehydrator. It is also much more comfortable to use, the handle is very comfortable and easy to squeeze. Having a tip that shoots out 2 strips at once is excellent. And yes as some have said there is some meat that works its way behind the plunger, but once you are aware of that, it only takes a minute to get it out.
