EK Water Blocks EK-Momentum Aorus Z390 Master D-RGB - Acryl
J**N
Works flawlessly
TLDR: Extremely happy with thermal performance despite challenges in mounting it.I've never watercooled anything before but I wanted my build to extend the longevity of both the Motherboard and CPU. The instructions concentrate more on the Aorus Master than the Ultra so many of the screws you need to remove don't apply to my board (the Ultra). For those of you that have the Ultra, make sure to unscrew the rear IO shield in two stages (1 screw per raised stand-off that looks like an ATX stand-off on the underside of your board holding the IO in place, and then the stand-off itself can also be unscrewed despite looking glued onto your board), then raise the plastic shroud, and rear IO off, and to take the VRM heatsink off there is a tiny screw that is parallel to the board inside the heatsink itself. Easy to miss. Hope that helped - it took me forever. The rest of the instructions are clear though. The CPU contact point is round, and given the size of the monoblock you won't be able to see how well it makes contact, so I would suggest to spread the thermal paste on the CPU yourself before mounting rather than using the dot/cross etc. method that relies on the cooler making contact and spreading things using contact pressure.Otherwise great monoblock - I get close to ambient temps while using a 240mm and 360mm SE rad (mid 20 C) and under CPU synthetic load I get mid to high 60C's using a 9900K OC to 5Ghz all core.Would I buy it again? Definitely, I'd probably buy a monoblock for all my future builds. Would I buy from TitanRIG? Also yes, they were kind enough to refund a small portion of the customs fees that weren't used. Truly appreciated that. Given that I'm a non-US customer I would've enjoyed it if more of their selection was kept at Amazon so Amazon Global could calculate the taxes etc. for me in which case I would've bought more products from them.
