This will be a thorough review of a great product!In order of importance to actual bird owners. From Budgie to Amazon will enjoy this cage. Bar spacing is too wide for smaller birds.1. Cage floor grate is removable without pulling out the pan. Many cages just have a grate lying atop the pan which is a safety and cleaning fail2. The pan is very thick gauge plastic and fits into side tracks so it slides independently for cleaning while cage bottom grate remains in place. The bottom of the pan (size for cage papers, which I highly recommend) is 12 ⅛" X 16 ½".3. Both pan and grate are held securely in place by a toggle so your clever bird cannot move them and escape.4. Dish mount doors are solid to control debris and securely lock closed by tightening the to spring toggle handle after closing.5. The dish mounts have a small plate above so your bird cannot yank the medium sized stainless dish out and spill the contents.6. The cage is very easy to assemble and disassemble, sides are assembled without screws... the have pins and tongue in bracket assembly points so the final step securing the assembly is the two phillips head screws holding the top perch/carry handle in place.7. The finish is a very nice burnished steel powdercoat.8. The frame is raised on legs so the pan is above the table top surface.9. The rope perch sold with the cage is def for birds like quaker size. I have used two heavier perches for my amazon. There was no problem with using heavier duty perches because the bars are thick enough to mount them safely and securely.10. The entire side of the cage opens which makes it easy to handle your bird.11. The perch dowel atop the cage is rather thick for smaller birds but by wrapping it with sports tape, it will be comfortable for any size from Budgie to Amazon or Grey.

The carrier is designed intuitively with smart parrots in mind.It is sturdy as well.Easy to assemble.We always had used kennel carriers for emergency visits to vet. We had concerns about the macaws holding to the grills with their beak(having their legs left on the flat surface of the kennel carrier). This product helps giving the birds a peace of mind during such distressed times.Also the product is good for short term travel and vet visit purposes.Would be good to have for future buyers:1. Increase in length (to cover birds with long tail feathers)2. Provide a perch as well

This is a great little cage for transporting your birds. It's not big enough to transport a full sized Cockatoo or Macaw, but for smaller birds, it's perfect. I have a Sun Conure and it's just right for transport or to stay in for a few days at a friends if I need to go out of town. Very sturdy and easy to put together. I saw some reviews that stated parts didn't line up and was hard to assemble. Not true for me. It even included an extra screw for each of the three types/sizes of screws included! (how many times have you been shorted on screws or parts for "put it together yourself" products. What a refreshing change!) Directions were clear and easy to follow, although the print was a bit small.This cage would be easy to take down for storage and put back together as it uses "keyhole slots" for some of the screw installation. By taking out only the two screws that hold the top perch in place, you can take it apart for storage. Pretty slick! Don't think that it's held together by those two screws only, as the keyhole slots and the fit make it very stable and sturdy. It's not super light, but still easy to carry. I'd probably put a screw in the ends of the wood perch to make it non-removeable by a skillful bird and to keep it from falling off while carrying or traveling as it just sits on metal tabs with slots in the end of the wood perch. (this was suggested by another reviewer and I agree)On bird size and transport... One of the pics I saw included a miniaturized picture of a Blue and Gold Macaw in the cage.... Not Happening! You could transport a full sized Cockatoo if needed to another location or vet and that would work fine, but not to stay in, even for a night. A couple of conures, budgies, lovebirds, etc... would work fine in this cage for temporary use.

Great buy. Easy to carry and clean compared to Vision cages. Top wooden perch should have screws at both ends.
