Super Quiet.
This is as quiet as it says. The old fan measured 64dB which is same as a noisy street. This fan, even on the high setting measures 47.5dB which is a quiet whisper. Installation was easy - remember to get the 6" to 4" adapter to fit an existing flex duct. The Led light is bright as well. Great product if you are looking for a quiet exhaust fan.

Wow! Better Than Expected, Super Quiet and Powerful!!!! Easy to Install
Wow! This is SO quiet when I first powered it on for testing I thought it was defective, then I noticed the motor was turning but SO quietly! I have mine set to 150CFM and it does "ramp up" to that speed, and when it reaches 150CFM it is audible, but definitely not loud (even at 150CFM it's MUCH quieter than the 50CFM Broan/Nutone we had before). The LED is a bit "white" for a 3000K, but not too white. The bathroom I installed this in has had poor ventilation for years, the 50CFM Broan/Nutone was loud an inadequate for the size of the room. My bathroom mirror and windows were always foggy and the walls looked "wet" after taking a hot shower. For the first time in 8 years I just took my normal hot shower and NO foggy mirrors, windows or damp walls!Installation was easy, except Step 4 "Install circular exhaust duct" could be clearer. In this step you use the self-tapping screws to attach the adapter (holding the wiring and exhaust duct) to the bracket - but there are no words describing this, and the illustration is likewise unclear. I ended up installing this ABOVE the drywall ceiling, but discovered later it had to be BELOW the drywall ceiling (and flush with it). Also, the unit has a 6" duct but many homes have existing 4" ductwork - I wish Panasonic provided a properly sized adapter (I bought one knowing I'd have to reduce for existing ductwork, but I was afraid to crimp the duct on this unit because it has a flapper that opens into the duct when the fan is running and it's tight, I was afraid it would impede it or cause it to become stuck open and allow cold air in). Overall it was an easy install, much easier than I expected. On a scale of 1 to 10 this is an 11, couldn't be happier with it!

Great Bath Fan Upgrade
I replaced two-12 year old 4” exhaust fans with these units with 6” exhaust vents. I only had to modify the ceiling opening a bit either way. The collapsible frame made the install much easier and reduced my time up in the attic space. I’ve installed three similar Panasonic (low sone, high flow, 6” exhaust fans), just no lights, at our other properties, so these were super easy to install. For this model, I did not wire the two light stages seperately, instead I only wired the fan light to the same circuit as the fan, but I like that there is the option to tri-wire everything separately in the future. Super happy with these high flow, ultra quiet and effective fans. The 700 lumens warm light is really bright too.

Defective and no support from seller
I purchased this item and had an electrician install. It worked intermittently and I called electricians to come and fix the issue, only to learn the product itself was defective, and is no longer working after 30 days of intermittently working. Contacted Amazon and was 15 days beyond the 30 day return window and was instructed to contact seller. Contacted seller who instructed me to request a refund and they would send me a replacement, but then denied my refund and then I was told I had to file an appeal. My advice to anyone considering purchasing this item, save yourself the headache and the time, and go to Lowe’s or Home Depot and purchase a fan, where if it is defective, they will graciously accept your return and provide you a replacement item. I will never support a seller that does not stand behind their product, but graciously accepts your payment for purchase.
