Almond Custard Seven Sisters Coffee Cake from O&H Danish Bakery

Oh, my gosh is this fantastic! We are fans of almonds and almond flavors; and the custard in this pastry is awesome as well. Treat yourself and others and buy one! Can be frozen or just refrigerate - it won't last long. Have sent some as presents and my friends rave about them as well.

This was absolutely delicious! I heated it up before eating it and it tasted fresh out of the oven! I highly recommend this. It had the right amount of filling too not over done at all.

The cake dough and almond flavor was good. However, the custard texture was gummy instead of smooth and creamy and with an overly starchy taste. I would not recommend. Was too pricey for the end product.

From time to time I fork over money for interesting foods I've never had before. This dessert is truly, truly delicious. I love almonds, so how could this miss? It arrived in a very timely manner and in excellent condition. It's sitting in my refrigerator where - according to information sent with it - it will keep up to 14 days. I am saving some for a cousin who comes over once a month for good restaurant take-out food and a 4K movie we watch on my 4K tv. She's salivating already. Can life get much better?
