Clear instructions. Amazing techniques with great illustrations to whet your appetite. I would not be without this book. This is one of a pair of books that you really need if you are teaching yourself how to use a rigid heddle loom. The other in Inventive Weaving on a little Loom. That one covers the basic "how to's" . This one covers all sorts of patterns and fabric in more depth that you can create with 1, 2 or 3 heddles. So it covers that aspect in more detail. This one covers double width and double weaving too.The instructions are very clear as are the beautiful colour illustrations. Spiral bound so it can sit by your loom as you follow it. I am working my way through this, putting my loom through it's paces and finessing my basic weaving techniques. Yes I will probably move onto a shaft loom at some point, but not yet, and there are things you can do with these simple looms that are impossible on more complex looms. I can't see my parting from my rhl loom or these books.If you are trying out weaving, as I have been doing, then this and the other book are the best places to start.
