Flip Tops - Set of 3 - Made in USA

Some work. Some don’t. One had a flat spot. It included 4 and I’m happy with the one that works the best.

These wood flip tops work just as well as the metal version from the videos I've seen. Plus you get 4 of these for about half the price. And you can spin them on any flat smooth surface and not worry about scratching the surface. These are milled smooth and have a nice wood smell, no paint smell. They are colored with dye with a light urethane finish.I noticed the tops of these are flat whereas the metal ones are not. So as an experiment, I sanded around the top edge of one, into a curve tapering to a point rather than flat top, thinking this is the way most tops are. But this didn't work - it would not spin for more than a second after it flipped. But this actually makes sense. It needs to have a sheared flat top because the center of gravity (COG) is not straight up and down as it's spinning. It's the perimeter edge that lines up better with the offset vertical COG when it's inverted. I sanded it back down flat and it works fine. I call this one "Stubby."

Of the 4 one easily flips, another with slight difficulty, another with extreme difficulty and the 4th Ive been unable to get to flip. I’ll try what another person found success in by drilling a small hole in the handle and inserting a small nail to add weight to handle. They are beautifully machined and given a really nice transparent paint coating. If you have a hard time finding a flat surface, try using a large round platter.

These tops spin very well and even flip upside down if on a smooth surface! They are so fun, for me the adult and for the kids. They also “travel” around the floor instead of just staying in one spot. Highly recommend!

These are fun tops for the whole family. All the kids enjoyed them because they are easy to use, even our 16 month old can produce something of a spin (supervised of course). While the tops spin well for a long time, we did find that only 2 out of the 4 actually flipped over spinning. We also like that it is made in the USA and made from wood.To flip:- the best surface is a smooth wood table. Any small disturbance prevents flipping- spin with force but try to keep top from moving too far from original point

It's a really cool idea, when you get it down, it'll spin from the rounded side until the pole gets underneath then it "hops" up on the pole and will continue spinning on that end for another few seconds. It doesn't last very long though and you REALLY gotta get a good spin on it. (which also means you need a large area to spin since it tends to move a little chaotically)My son (toddler) still likes to play with them and toss them and they'll turn somewhat, but he needs me in order to get it to work as designed. I can't imagine a kid under 5 being able to get these to spin correctly, consistently. The product description does say 7+, though. Should have read that closer. Nevertheless, even for an 8 year old, these won't be amazing, but just "okay"

The media could not be loaded.  They work great! You just need a wide surface, as they tend to move around a lot before flipping over. With some practice, you will be able to spin them on a plate.They are well balanced, made in the USA and beautifully crafted.I thought about buying these spinning tops vs a similar one made of metal but I think I made the right choice: considering that you need a wide surface, the metal one would have likely scratched my table/wooden floor.For this price, you can't go wrong!

I was very excited to share the flip over top with my kids…, sadly 2 will flip and 2 don’t.
