These arrived on my doorstep in a plastic bag. The edges of the bookends have flaking finish and corners are raw, sharp steel. I deeply scratched a white bookshelf before I noticed how bad the unfinished burrs are. Could be filed and painted, I suppose, but the weirdest problem makes that irrelevant: Despite the photos in the listing, the bookends that arrived have the image reversed. The intended "Dragon as Ampersand" logo is backwards, and has become a wonky figure eight. Using the bookends to hold up books that prominently display the same logo in the correct orientation makes noticing the mistake unavoidable.Filed for a return, only to realize that the seller doesn't actually have free returns. Received shipping label with Postage Due, to China. Would cost me nearly as much to ship them USPS as I spent on the product.Just a disappointing hassle, all around.

As a gaming nerd, I of course wanted bookends that matched my hobby. found em! ordered several sets. They are not designed to hold every single hardcover sourcebook made for DnD so you have to break up the collection so to speak amongst several sets. I highly recommend these, going to pick up several more sets just to have for future DnD books that come out.
