The waistband stretches quite a bit. The legs are quite long as well. I only wear them as shorts, the legs were just way too long considering the waist size. I probably should have sized down.It's a thin, light, stretchy material. But not weak. I bought them for work and I carry stone pieces all day. No fraying or tears considering how much I rub against stone.I'll give it 4 stars because there is something a bit confusing and strange about the sizing. It's not true to size, but at the same time it kinda is, but the proportions are weird.If you're of the "big and tall" variety I think you'll be safe ordering "true to size". It's a bit hard to explain.

Style fits in for a variety of activities, camping or working construction. I work in Kuwait and need desert pants. These are not heavy or hot.Quality is great. Material resist liquids and breaths.Size runs big with the elastic band. I wear a 40 usually. 40 waist too big. 38 almost too big. I wear a 30-31 length. 38 waist has 30 length 40 waist has 32 length. Both fit well. 32 length didn't drag the ground with my Merril hikers on. Zipp on off legs do good. Comes with a nice wide belt that has a click lock and overhang strap to keep the end of the belt secure. I noticed multiple companies sell this brand so go to the least expensive vendor.

I'm a 5'5 115ish lbs woman and the 29 size fit me great. I work in a cave but also have to work outside sometimes in the heat, so I wanted something that could allow me to be warm underground and cool on the surface. I'm going to sew something on each leg so I know which is which, but other than that, I have no complaints. I've always wanted a pair of zip off pants, so I'm very happy I found these. I could not figure out how to get the belt open, which could be user error, but I have plenty of other belts so it's okay.

This pair replaced 1 that was too big after losing some weight. Unlike my previous pair these do not have a zipper at the bottom of the leg, so you have to take your boots off when you turn the pants into shorts. I should note that i could not find any that has a zipper anywhere, either online or in stores. BTW a nice-to-have would be some kind of indicator on the part that comes off to make them shorts to save time when putting them back together

These are very comfortable but the size chart they use is not correct. I bought size 34(have a 32 inch waistline, if that) they barley fit. If you're wanting to buy this item make sure to get a bigger size so it will fit. Mine will fit better after a month on the Appalachian Trail 😆 🤣.

Wanted a baggy, light wight pants for kayaking. This is perfect, keeps my legs covered for sun protection, but if the sun goes down, can take the legs off to stay cool, also to swim. Perfect!

I got them a couple weeks ago and tried them on real quick, knowing I wouldn't need them until this week. They fit just fine, so that's great. Yesterday when I went to use them for the first time, and I was putting on the belt (which I didn't do during try-on), one of the belt loops immediately came off.I opted for the 2-3 minute solution of sewing it back on rather than the several-day option of returning them and getting a replacement. It's odd because I can see that they used plenty of thread to sew the belt loop on initially, but when I went to use the pants, it felt like there was only one thread intact.One positive thing on the construction side - the material is slightly stretchy so if you're removing the lower part of the legs, you don't have to remove your boots to do so. Of course the zipper itself doesn't stretch, but you wouldn't want it to.

I have had the pants 4 weeks. They have been washed 5-6 times now. The fit is as advertised. Small complaints. 1. The material has a plastic feel and makes swish noises as you walk. However, the material is very good at resisting water and dirt. 2. The button hole is not rugged. It has already worn to the point where the button pops out of the button hole.
