GEAppliances WD21X24901 Dishwasher Electronic Control Board

I’m not going to write a bad review for this board because it did what it was intended to do. However, the prices of these boards are getting higher and higher and at a certain point you might as well just get a new dishwasher. Our GE dishwasher worked great for 6 years, then the board died. Watched a quick tutorial video, ordered a board, fixed the issue no problem. However that replacement board only worked for a year, and I just ordered my second board. Installed the second board, and it works as intended, but why the heck am I doing this to myself? I am definitely never buying a GE dishwasher again, as I would hope my almost $1000 dishwasher would last me more than 6 years and then I have to burn almost $200 a year to fix it. Seems ridiculous. But anyway, board is easy to install, fixes the issue, but I expected better quality out of GE. Doesn’t seem like I’m the only one have a lifespan issue with their GE dishwashers too. Hoping this second board lasts at least two more years. I had a 30 year old whirlpool dishwasher before this that worked great until its last leg and I was hoping GE would provide more than 1/5 of that quality.

This motherboard fit like a glove, and solved an ever worsening problem with our GE dishwasher. The service confirming the fit and correctness of the board was excellent. I didn’t open the bag until I’d confirmed this was indeed the correct board. There are so many, and it’s easy to mistake a number in the product nomenclature. The fit was perfect, and be advised, the trays and supports are machine cut and punched. Edges are sharp. Pretty much by the numbers though. A high quality product. Was nice to flip the switch and have the machine kick right on. Call the service tech before you begin install. If it’s the wrong board, return and restock is gonna cost you half. He’ll help you get it right before you order.

This is THE controller board for GE GDT695SMJ2ES. Caution: make sure you wear gloves and either ground yourself or use a static electricity band (as if you were working on a computer board in a car or home computer). this is a chip-filled computer control board, after-all.An easy DIY for anyone with a few tools - sockets, needle-nosed pliers (electrician-style insulated) - and ability to work patiently and with some precision.

The media could not be loaded.  I have replaced this board (main control) twice in my dishwashers lifetime. Each time, the machine will not make any noise until you open the door. From my experience, every time the board starts going bad, it will randomly chime like it wakes up until it eventually quits working. I ordered my first board and it was still doing the same thing shortly after installation. I tried to let it settle for a day or two but it kept doing it. I asked for a replacement (sometimes boards are bad from the factory). I received my replacement and it was not in a box, not in an antistatic bag, and there was a broken capacitor lead and another component broken that I noticed upon inspection. I had to send the second one back. It would not give me the option to request another board but only refund me for the cost. I'd rather have a working board than have to search for another seller. Sometimes things happen but I'm disappointed there wasn't a resolution to get another replacement.

The board worked fine once installed. This replaces a version with a different power connection, so I had to modify to use (as my wife was in a hurry). This was the best value I saw, but noticed a pricey vendor shipped the power connector with theirs. Not sure if the connector is available through Amazon (I couldn’t find it), but should be offered with the board or as an add on. Otherwise, I would have rated 5 stars.

Used this Board, xxxx901 and it works to repair GE GDT635HSJ2SS. Can't speak to other GE dishwashers. Was concerned about difference in part numbers xxxx900 and xxxx901. All I can say is that 901 works for this dishwasher. 901 seems to be less cost right now from 900. It has been working for 1 month since installed. Fairly easy to install per online videos. I took photos of all the various wire/plug connections before removing original. Wire plugs really only go back one way so hard to mess it up. Make sure the wire harness fits in slot in back to make the entire panel fits well at the end. Your mileage may vary.

Very happy as this solved the dreaded door switch problem on my GE dishwasher. I went through the full troubleshooting sequence and the OEM control board had a code that it could not detect the door was shut. I ordered a new door latch and still the same problem. Ended up that the control board failed and could not read the input from the latch. The control board is not the easiest to get to underneath the kick panel of the dishwasher. Also you have to be very careful removing about 5 connectors and plastic standoffs on the metal housing to take out the board. Take your time and handle the new board with extreme care! Then you'll have a dishwasher that detects the latch again and runs as normal saving you hundreds of repair costs from someone else or the cost of a new dishwasher. My board failed after 6 years and it seems like this is pretty common on GE dishwashers. Wish GE could still live up to their quality commitments of the past where things lasted much longer.

Was getting the three beep error that the door was open so the dishwasher wouldn’t run. In the beginning, I shut off the power for a few minutes and that would fix it but then that wouldn’t work. Watched a couple of videos of how to reset the system but that didn’t work. Was intimidated at how hard it would be to replace the control panel but it turned out to not be that difficult. Alliancepros.com have a step by step video on YouTube so just followed it. Took me about two hours

Good morning- i ordered on of these in march and it corrected the problem- less than 4 months from purchase date the "board" has quit working and i was curious how to get it covered under warranty? Thanks....Dean

I'm having an issue where there's a loss of power randomly, it will come back by unplugging the harness underneath the unit, (sometimes takes several tries) I ordered this part and I hope it works. Model number is GDT635HMJ5ES. Update will be posted after I swap the part. (UPDATE) after using a troubleshooting technique I found on you tube I believe I ordered the wrong part for this problem. So now I ordered the top control interface. New control board was not installed.
