Scottish Mens Kilt Traditional Highland Tartan Utility Kilt

I'm a seamstress. I've made a lot of things. When my son said he wanted a kilt I decided to look on here before delving into making one for him. He's in between young adult sizes and men sizes. He is 14. I love that these kilts go off the measurement around the waist area you plan to wear the waistband at (natural or at the hips). We measured and got the Small based on measurements. The hip is a little tight so it bunches ever so slightly but not noticeable, so if your hip measurement is a couple of inches wider than waist at least, then go a size up. The fabric is of great quality. It's a medium weight of the fabric and everything is closed well. Not see-through at all. The stitching is well made, and I'm very critical of the stitching quality. There are snaps (several waist tightness options). He absolutely loves it and wears it all of the time. He plans on getting a few more. The price cannot be beaten. Also, he plans to wear them to school. It's about 90 degrees Fahrenheit in our area and he says that it's so nice to wear something that doesn't feel hot. Oh, and he is 5' 1" in height and the hem comes about 1/2" below the knee. So it's perfect there too. Colors from the pic are also accurate. Shipping was quick as well considering the Pandemic policy for Prime Shipping. I highly recommend getting this kilt. Measurement is key to get the right fit. Based on what we got due to the recommended measurements here, it's accurate for proper fit. Enjoy!!

I am a 36 waist in pants. 6’, 195 #. I ordered a size up as suggested. An XL. When first put on, it seemed like a good fit. Snaps were on furthest (tightest) adjustment. In the course of wearing it for a day or two, it seemed to “grow” larger. As I was already on the tightest adjustment, there was no way to tighten it further. It was too big and “bunched” at the waist. I reordered in a Large, and the fit was much better. This one, the adjusting snaps fell to the middle snap (of three). I would recommend not sizing up.Overall quality seems good. It is “made In China”. The fabric weight is more suited for Spring/Summer, but surprisingly warm. The snap closures seem good, but are just snaps. There are two strap/buckle closures of fabric for additional security. 2” belt loops. Would highly recommend a belt be worn! The two pockets are exterior and lay flat, as opposed to the big “box” pockets you see on typical utility kilts, lending to a more traditional look. They won’t hold much but I guess that is what a sporran is for. There are machine washing instructions on a tag, however, the seller recommends dry clean only. Overall I am pleased with the fit and quality. I will be gifting the original XL to my son who is slightly larger than I. For my first kilt, it feels amazing and natural to wear. I get compliments everywhere I go. The ladies in particular! I now have this kilt in both color options. Would recommend this product!

I recently found out that I am a quarter Scot. I’ve always had a fascination with kilts, something in my DNA I suppose, but never bought one. So this is my very first. I have worn this pattern in jackets and shirts so I jumped at the chance at this one. I have to say I am completely satisfied with this kilt. I work it all day and I can see why people love them. This is very comfortable and decent weight on the fabric. For the price I would say a good bye. I will purchase other kilts from this maker. I did buy an XL and should have gotten a L. I am losing weight, but the adjustable belt I already had worked.

For the price this is a fair purchase. Its not something I'd recommend wearing daily. It's not thick or super durable. But my husband looks adorable in it. We got it for some highland and Renaissance faires we will attend this fall. It makes for a beautiful costume. Not authentic looking but still would recommend for the right person. It was a little big on him. Just be sure you use a measuring tape to size and you wont make the same mistake. Its slightly adjustable.

This is a great kilt for the price! I ware mine in the south Ga heat. It is cool and durable. The colors are high quality and the sowing is well done. This is not an $800.00 kilt. Don't expect it to be. It is an inexpensive kilt that you can wear to a festival, to work in, or around the house. This kilt is great. I will buy a second one! (I have three kilts already but this is one of the best at this price point!)

I mainly have Scottish kilts. This, however, was a nod to the Irish side of my family. It is lighter weight so it is very comfortable in hot weather. Love it..

Has a lot of options for adjusting the size and comes down below my knees if worn low, but could also be worn high on the belly. I bought this for Dagorhir combat and so far it has held up. I don't use a belt and it stays on. It is light weight. Bit heavier than sport shorts but still pretty light. Has a single small pocket on the back.

I ordered too small. My husband needed a 44 and I ordered according to his pants size which is a 42! The site said to order up and I didn't. Thankfully they have a quick delivery time and I was able to return the small and get the larger size in very quickly. It was comfortable in the heat and it looked and fit amazingly! Will order from this seller again.
