I use this to finish off a (curvy) 6 ft antique couch I reupholstered recently and it was exactly enough material. I am an amateur upholsterer but I found it pretty easy to work with and the results were good, really smooth and seamless.The only drawback I would say is also part of what makes it work so well- - it's very sticky and moldable material, so you can really sculpt it to the shape of your project. This also means that it sticks to your clothes and any other non-smooth surface it touches. Think cotton candy for insulation fluff. I ended up with little Tufts of it on my shirt afterwards from accidentally leaning on it and I made the mistake of setting a swatch down on some other upholstered furniture which ended up looking like it would decorated with Halloween cobwebs.

The batting was superior. I used a walking foot and the batting did not bunch up or stretch. I appreciate that it was made well and did not require to be thin out for my bags. You can zoom in to the quilting of the bag to see how smooth it was. There was no smell to the batting and a very good value.

Beautiful cotton, easy to work with and very soft. If you’re looking for a cozy thickness, this is not for you.

I had found some quilt blocks that my mother had sewn before she passed away and I decided to complete the unfinished project in memory of her. She had always used a brand - I think was warm natural or the like- that I couldn’t find in a throw size and other reviews had good praise for this so I decided to try it. Once opened it looked identical to what my mom had used years ago when she quilted. This was packaged really nicely with an information sheet about the product. The thickness was perfect for using the walking foot on a home machine and I will say the quilt sure felt warm across my lap as I was sewing on a day with snow flurries in the air. For my first attempt at putting all the layers together and quilting a memory quilt, I was very pleased with this brand of batting and I would recommend it or buy again if I come across more of my mom’s work that needs to be finished. All sewing mistakes are mine as a beginner not the fault of the batting in photo!
