Thames & Hudson 19th-Century Fashion in Detail (Victoria and Albert Museum)

Bought this as a present for my grandma. She already owns a lot of books on historical clothing but she was blown away by this one. The images and the amount of detail that has been captured is stunning. Very quality images and paper.

Libro fatto benissimo con descrizioni precise e contestualizzate, disegni dei modelli e foto fantastiche che ritraggono abiti e dettagli con ottima resa dei colori.Bellissimi anche i disegni dei modelli che permettono, con abilità e le dovute competenze, di realizzare le proprie copie degli abiti!Anche le descrizioni sono molto interessanti (bisogna conoscere l’inglese), in ogni caso il libro è di una bellezza tale che può essere apprezzato dai non appassionati della materia anche solo per le immagini!

Very detailed and beautifully written. Really makes you appreciate how much work and craftsmanship went into garment making.

Beautiful reference book for those who sew for antique dolls. Would be great for costume details. Shows close ups of specific tailoring techniques.
