Surviving the Melancholy Affair: Ordinary Abuse in the Family

Poorly published, pages and chapters don't coincide with the index. Offers no help for people who are undergoing or who have under gone abuse. The authors' flip flopping between narratives of being a healed abuse survivor, but not trusting himself to get married or have kids because of not wanting to become his father offers a slightly twisted attitude, perhaps he should go back to therapy?

Very well written. I found it inspiring that the author was able to triumphantly overcome his monster through writing these poems. It really told the story of his family’s pain and hopefully will help someone currently struggling with the same horrible circumstances.
