Weber 3/8" OD x 12-3/4" Crossover Tube for 3 Burner Genesis Silver B/C, `02 Gold B/C Grills

Last week I saw the crossover pipe in my Weber Genesis grill was broken - I was able to order a replacement and it arrived days sooner than anticipated and I was able to install the tube safely. The grill is back up and thanks to great service and proper part I easily give 5 stars.Thank you.

Twenty-year old Genesis Gold B saved from trash now starts and flames on the igniter! This works as designed. The challenge I came across installing is loosening to the two bolts that anchor the outer two burners. Twenty years of heat, grease and weather won. Drilled the screws out and then forced the burners just far enough to insert the crossover bar. My burners are in good shape, but I have seen other burners ready to crumble. If your burners look "fragile", you may be better off with the burner replacement kit.On the other hand, I see the crossover tubes fail faster than the grills.Be sure to have the crossover tube it aligned with the flame holes pointed to the burners so that you can slide the center burner into the slots as in images.Easy to recommend this part. It is the right part if you just need a crossover tube.

Until recently, I've had to replace the entire burner set every few years due primarily to corrosion of the crossover bar. The burners would operate effectively, but only if I lit each one separately - the flame from one burner could not bridge the corrosion in the crossover to ignite the other two. That was fine, but expensive - and a waste of many good burners. Then I found this option - buying JUST the crossover assembly. What a fantastic idea - replacing only the part that needs replacing! It's cheaper, easy to do, and extremely effective - and gives me several more years of use for the burner set. Great job - AGAIN - by Weber, providing grill owners what they NEED, and not what the manufacturer wants to sell. We've had the same Weber grill for nearly 15 years now, and Weber has consistently provided replacement parts and terrific warranty service. Weber grills cost a lot initially, but are extremely cost effective over the longer term. Worth EVERY PENNY!!!

Just got around to installing this today in our 2004 Genesis Silver B Premium.With the old crossover, it had gotten quite difficult to light the center and rear burners. I cleaned the old one a few times with a wire brush, but the result was not satisfactory. With the new part installed, the center and rear burners light as easily as they did when the grill was new. My 3 main burner tubes are still in good condition, so I was happy to be able to purchase just the crossover.Not counting the time I spent doing a general spring cleanup, it took no more than 15 minutes to put this in. Note that you do not have to remove the main burners, just remove the 2 screws holding the left ends of the front and back burners. There is enough wiggle room to work the crossover out of the front and back tubes, and slide the middle tube out of the slot in the crossover. Twisting the crossover helps to dislodge it from the center tube. While I had the grill opened up, I noted that the chamber of the igniter assembly is quite rusty, so I will be ordering one of those.All-in-all, a satisfying fix.

I ordered this to replace the burnt/rusted out crossover burner tube in my 20+ year old Weber Genesis Silver B BBQ. The item arrived within a week (shipped from the US), is good quality and is a perfect fit. The price might seem high for what is essentially a perforated metal tube, but shipping from the US is not cheap and the part should give many years of service.
