"I'll prove dad's innocence, no matter the cost"
It has been a very long time since I have found a first volume of a manga that draws me in as much as this one. This is once scintillating read, with lost of action, suspense, and a fascinating plot. The plot revolves around a high school student, Fujimaru, who is a genius with computer and the person behind the identity of a mysterious hacker known as the Falcon. His father works in an intelligence agency and has used Fujimaru's help on a part time basis in the past. When a deadly virus becomes the center of a case, Fujimaru's father is framed for murder, and danger looms around every corner, the story plunges into a roller-coaster ride that is fun, absorbing and bone-chilling.I particularly liked the way in which different elements are blended in this story. You have the spy / action part of the story, but we also get to see Fujimaru's life at the high school, which provides for some laughs, but also for some further depth as it relates to the first part. There is a variety of very interesting characters, both on the good and bad sides. Moreover, for some of these it is hard to figure out which side they fall on.The art is extremely good, which is only gravy on top of the outstanding story. If you decide to give this volume a try make sure you have some others lined up, because I find it awfully hard to stop reading this series. It it truly remarkable!

Very intriguing manga with plenty of thrills and plot twists
Keeping it short and sweet: A high school student who is known as expert hacker 'Falcon' is asked by his father, a spy in the secret 'Third-I' agency, to decrypt a mini SD card found in the abdomen of a dead Russian spy. Against his father's second guessing after finding out major details, and being framed for the murder of the director or Third-I, video is shown of an attack thought to come to Japan that will cause people to die through infection. It's now up to him to clear his dad's name and try to stop this spread of the infection.Likable characters, funny, swift pacing and very thrilling mix of action and shocking images all blend to make 'Bloody Monday'. With characters being not who they seem, I'm instantly hooked and waiting for the next volume.HIGHLY recommended!
