I like this ink stone a lot after a almost year of using it.It ix very easy to grind a dry ink in it. Its size is right for both big and small size hair pen and the stone can hold enough ink for each calligraphy practice. It was made from high quality stone.It is a must have if you want to practice Chinese calligraphy.Highly recommended!

Arrived very well packed against breakage. The stone itself has elegant line/shape than I could tell from the images and is simple and beautiful.

Great she slate. Good size for Sumi-e and Chinese painting. Good grind for expensive inks sticks

Very nice inkstone but took awhile to get here.

I was in two minds whether to get the larger or smaller one, but decided to get the larger one. The stone is smooth and a pleasure to use. I'm glad I got the larger one since with one 10 min session of grinding, I have enough ink for quite a lot of writing. I can grind the ink either in a circle, clockwise and anticlockwise or forwards and backwards. These different options have less stress on my hands.
