1/2 inch Extendable Ratchet Extra Long (12 to 18 inch) with 6 Locking Positions and 400 ft. lbs max torque

I'm on the fence about this one. I've purchased Pittsburgh before (mainly from HF), but this latest tool was the first to break. The last several inches of the handle is plastic. While working on my suspension the end of the handle broke. I still had the rest of the handle and wrench, and it still provided more than enough leverage, but we're talking about 3-4 inches of lost handle.Mind you, this was the first time I used the ratchet. The action is smooth. Can't fault them for labeling the ratchet switch on and off. The collar that allows you to lock and unlock the handle to extend or shrink it is smooth and rugged. But the plastic tip of the handle... Come on PIttsburgh.

They broke after about a week

I got this ratchet from Harbor Freight about a year ago, and it is great because it is strong enough to double as a breaker bar in many applications. I do most of my own car repairs, so having a collapsible ratchet is convenient. I have used it on rusted bolts that probably required around 200 ft-lbs to break loose, and the ratchet did not break. Harbor Freight has a lifetime warranty on their Pittsburgh tools, so this is a great deal if you have a Harbor Freight store locally.

Is ok if u use for sewing. Very lightweight metal (alloy). Broke the first lug nut removed. $16 @ HF
