Got this to hold books, match an industrial style room, and to see if it was strong enough to hang things off the front of it if you wanted to.Can attest, the style fits great, holds the books just fine, and if it's anchored properly to prevent tipping, seems to work fine if you attach a weight to the front of it with ties or similar options.Crossbars are a tiny bit of a nuisance to install, following the instructions is important as there's an order to things, but if you follow the instructions it goes together easily and the crossbars along with the single piece side ladders are what give the design its strength.

Love this bookcase so much. It's visually appealing, easy to put together, sturdy, and just plain cool.I got this after my friend did because I loved the look and size so much.When I contacted to company about possibly having to cancel, they were so kind and prompt jn replying. Ended up not needing to cancel. But still customer service was top notch.They send you plenty of extra parts in case you lose something as well as little screw driver.The legs have adjustable feet, which was a life saver in my slightly slopey apt.Couldn't be happier with this purchase. Between my friend and I we have 3. If I had room I'd get another one.

The media could not be loaded.  This shelf is worth every penny. It is gorgeous! Also, it is very sturdy and if you have another person the assembly can be done very quickly! Stability wise the legs have adjustable knobs to help level and steady, but wall anchors are also provided. If your looking for a boho industrial or eclectic shelf, this is IT.

The shelf definitely adds that industrial rustic look to your home if that's the way you're going for. Shelves are actually pretty sturdy.Pros:1.) Well built2.) Cheap3.) SturdyCons:1.) Bottom shelf can not hold a lot of weight.2.) Shelf needs to up against a wall. Or it will fall over. (But they give you hardware to mount to wall so that doesn't happen).

Very easy to put together / very easy to adjust for uneven floors / holds at minimum 150 books with spare room for more/ gives you everything you need to put it together with a spare bolt of each type /

Love this shelf, also got a vote from my picky husband. It looks great and is very sturdy.One note is that this shelf has a "front" - the back of the shelf has extra screws through the inverted v shaped support that screw into the shelf. Not a major deal since we are putting it against a wall but it would bug me if I were planning to use this as a room divider type setting.There were a few small blemishes on the veneer finish and black metal frame but nothing that is noticeable after assembly.It is also bit awkward to assemble since it is so large, but I'm also 5'0" tall. I think 1 tall person with a decent arm reach could assemble this themselves easily, or two small people like myself. One short person presents some challenges.

I searched for a long time to find just the right bookcase and I am so glad that I decided to buy this one! It is rock solid, so attractive, and was not difficult to assemble! I was concerned about how the metal frame would look, but I really like it! It has a beautiful, modern look and I would highly recommend it!
