this unit is the same price range as the similar Honeywell. it is a vastly better functioning item and the actual manufacture is vastly superior as well. I know what to buy from now on when i need a thermostat

I’d give it no stars if I could. I bought it 10/7/24 and installed it about 2 weeks later. It worked fine for about 2 weeks. Now it has wild fluctuations and cannot keep a steady temperature. What’s really frightening are the times when I have to shut it off because the heater is getting hotter and hotter with no indication of shutting off. I’m afraid it will set my dining room on fire. Oddly, I replaced one that would occasionally get the room too hot and I was tired of adjusting it. It never did what this one does. Too bad I put the old one in the metal recycling bin. Do I want to replace this? What would be the point? I’m more inclined to buy any baseboard heater other than Cadet. I dare the Cadet people to contact me, but I won’t hold my breath.
