Not on me. I'm 5'9" though. Since they're supposed to be slouch socks, don't think they're meant to be knee high but they do pull up to somewhere between calf height and knee height.

Q: Are they knee high socks?

Almost but not quite. They come up to about 3 inches below the bottom of my knee. I am 5'3" tall and my legs are on the heavy side.

Q: How tight r these socks around the ankle and leg?

They were not tight on me. They such very well and there is enough room between the sock and ankle. I hope this helps.
