Great value
I recently upgraded all my security camera to be 4K. It is time to upgrade my NVR from HD(1080) to 4K. This unit came in handy, very easy to install, zero tech support is needed, just attach HD. Great value A+++++

Not worth the money.
Review is for the Evtevision 4K 16CH NVR (1080p/3MP/4MP/5MP/6MP/8MP) Network Video Recorder.Received and put into use first day. Added 6tb 3.5" drive which is difficult to add since drive power cable are to short. Can only be held down with 2 screws on one side vice all 4 (screws are not included) since two drilled holes are missing (You'll have to drill the other two). They are 4 drilled for 2.5" drives. Setup is simple for this older GUI UI. Not true 4K for more than 2 camera's.Can only handle 8 camera's at 1080p with settings set to 20 frames and low bit rates.Handles 16 cams at 720p and again lowed bit rates. Not worth the cost and plastic case.No fan and CPU gets very hot in case. Comes with cheap aluminum heat-sink but needs 5 volt fan that was easy to added.Sending back due to false advertising and cheaper $30 NVR boards are available.

Onvif/Hikivision
No sir-mam, The screen says I need a password I had called Onvif, and they said that they don't manufacture IP cameras etc, and that I would have to talk with the manufacture for the IP cameras password, sir-mam meaning that I have to have a password for Hikivision for an Onvif IP camera(s) to work its going back today sir-mam I had tried two Onvif IP cameras, and nothing had changed sir-mam;

Truly impressed with this 4K camera NVR
When I first opened this up, I was not impressed. A small, flimsy plastic case with a tiny circuit board and a couple of wires to hook up my drive. They did not even supply me with the mounting screws for the drive!! I found some drive screws, I put my drive in, closed it up and plugged it in to power and the Ethernet.I am able to configure this NVR by attaching a monitor and a mouse to the NVR. I can also use my PC and web browser. The Android App they use also allows me to make changes. I was somewhat surprised the the NVR uses a web interface that I am very familiar with. I had no learning cure at all. I went right to work configuring my cameras. I maxed it out with 10 cameras. A mixture of 4K, 5MP, 4MP and 1080P cameras from a variety of camera manufacturers. This little guy handled setting them all up like a champ.The NVR responds quickly even though it is recording 10 cameras, 24/7, all at the same time. I get very little lag when communicating with the NVR. I can download archived footage and I don't see it causing any problems in the live recording, or major delays while I am clicking my commands.It actually handles the H.265 encoding correctly. If my camera's support it, I put them in H.265 mode, if they don't support it, they stay in H.264 mode. This NVR handles them both without issue... This really impressed me.The NVR's app allows me to see ALL 10 of my cameras when I am on the road. It was easy to setup and I have already thoroughly tested it away from home. It will only let me see 9 of them at once, I have to scroll to the right to see the 10th camera, but I can live with that. I can open any single camera to full screen and I get a stunningly clear picture with sound.So it just goes to show me, that I can't trust my first impressions about everything. My first impression was that this was going to be a waste of my time and effort. It turned out that this NVR was exactly what I was hoping it was when I ordered it. A good 4K NVR capable of handling up to 10 cameras at a time!A 10 camera, 4K NVR that works great for under $69.00. Who would have figured? I am EXTREMELY happy with this NVR, I am certain you will be too. I am giving it 5 stars!

Nothing great
First off they didn't even update the instruction sheets, it's for old models. They're nothing more than printed from someone's computer. Hard to even read. The only thing inside is a small controller board with hard drive wires. But the wires are short and there are only 4 holes to screw the hard drive to which made it unnecessarily difficult to get one in.Builtin software looks like we used to see from hardware in the last millennium. iOS App isn't much better (3 stars and less). You can access it from a computer browser which deserves a star itself. I was able to add an ONVIF camera which works so far. But I couldn't add any of the other 15 cameras we have including on a DVR even though the option is there.It's cheap and you don't get much. Too expensive for what you get.
