MG Midget Series "TD" Operation Manual

I'm not sure how you review the owner's manual for a car that's 63 years old. I own a 1953 MG TD and thought it would be nice to have a copy of the original owner's manual. Expecting something less, what I got was a newly reprinted version of a 63 year old owner's manual. It's every bit as quaint as you might expect, showing all drawings with right hand steering wheel, and using the English terms "hood" (the convertible top) and "bonnet" and "revolution counter" and "tyres" and "carburetters". It's only 70 pages, but it is more helpful than what you find in the equivalent for any modern car. It quaintly assumes that the owner knows something about cars and can fix most problems himself. You don't have to own an old car to appreciate this book. Like the car itself, this is a "classic".

I wanted a book to use and knock around — saving wear and tear on my original, of which this book is an exact reproduction and very nicely done.

A good complimentary book to the workshop manual. This manual has some general operating information not covered in the workshop manual.
