It is a nice book which covers everything that needs to be learned at an ADVANCED LEVEL.If you have just started learning dynamics than do not use this book. As I said this book teaches you advanced level dynamics and so the author assumes that you know fundamentals necessary to study this book. There are lot of differential equations, extension of theories of Newton's laws of motion. So to study this book you should be much more familiar with calculus and basics of newton's laws and theory of inertia.Could have given five star if the explanation of theories was some more easy to understand.OVERALL a really excellent book to study. Thank you Dr. Chopra for writing this book.

Very nice book and chapters well organized
Very nice book and chapters well organized. It does not have enough examples and problems so that you learn how to solve end chapter problems that is why I gave 4 stars.

Highly recommended for any structural engineer
Excellent text; very clearly presented information, with a really good balance of technical content and practical application. I'm a structural engineer with 10 years experience, but dynamics was never my strong suit; this text is exactly what I needed to brush up on the subject. The content has also been well vetted over time; I've yet to spot any typo's or errors in the formula given.Highly recommended.
