Good value if you can live with its shortcomings
First of all, the device functions as promised. Two independent outputs that each can connect to one of four inputs. I like the slim design, all connectors in back, and all controls in front. However, in operation, both outputs get interrupted when you change anything, which leaves the connected devices scrambling for a few seconds to reestablish communication. This is my first project wiring up HDMI devices, and I assume that this behavior is not considered normal and acceptable. For example, if you change the input for output A, then both outputs A and B get interrupted. If you unplug any of the plugs, both outputs get interrupted. If you plug in any of the plugs, both outputs get interrupted. For my purposes, this behavior is annoying, but I rarely switch the inputs and don't plug anything in or out during normal operation. My application is at a church where I have a PC as one of the inputs and a DVD player as another input. I have one output attached to a projector and the other to a monitor in the control booth. Sometimes I need to use the DVD player, so I switch the monitor to show the DVD player so that I can cue up the player, but I want to leave the projector showing the PC until I am ready to show the DVD. Unfortunately, when I change the monitor to show the DVD player, the projector output gets interrupted so that the projector spends a few seconds reestablishing the signal. Not a disaster, but annoying nonetheless.

Started out Great
I have two TV's in different rooms, but share a wall, and this switcher was a great. Using this switcher, I can connect a cable box, a ps3 and an X-box to BOTH TV's! It also comes with an easy to use controller to help manage the inputs. The first few days we used it everything was fine. My husband, an electrician, hooked it up Saturday. Today the 2nd TV's audio was choppy and a few seconds off from the main TV. I thought it was the channel I was watching but it was all channels. Even shows I pre recorded months ago. I turned off the 2nd TV. The main TV's cable box started a signal search. It said "no signal" even though I was just watching something. I reset my box and cable. I was able to watch tv. However, I can't pause my DVR on my cable box anymore. All my pre recorded shows are not watchable. As soon as I hit the play button the show jumps and its ended then it repeats the ending, like it was frozen. This is my second HDMI splitter. The first one, a Kinivo is on its way back now. It has its own review. The 2nd TV's input would change on its own. I would have the TV on in both rooms and then the 2nd TV would go dark. When I went to look at the box, it was on the 2nd input. I would push the button to put it back. If I changed the channel on the main TV, I would have to push the button on the splitter box to go back to TV on the 2nd TV.I hate buying these and then having to return them a few weeks later.

Duplicates signal to patio and analog audio output
I use the HDMI matrix to "split" my HDMI signal from the living room to the patio. I have 3 HMDI sources (DirecTV, Blu-Ray, and AppleTV) and 2 outputs. The matrix does this very well. One of the biggest selling points on the matrix for me was the analog audio output. I have had trouble finding a good solution for pulling the analog audio out of a digital signal and this works great. I use the analog audio as an input for my Sennheisser headphones and as an input for my Sonos system. The unit is also hot. So far it hasn't led to problems with the unit but it is always very warm to the touch. In the next few days I plan to reorganize the audio/video components and am going to put this in a different place due to the heat. The only problem I have had is the battery for the remote control is not a battery I keep in the house. I don't recall the exact battery type required but it is one of those about the size of a nickel. It would be more convenient if it used AAA's, of course, the remote would be larger then as well.I would recommend this matrix for anyone needing a solution similar to how I have used it.

Good Product, but from an Asian garage
I'm am delighted with this product, however this appears to originate from a Chinese garage. The information provided by the manufacturer is sparse which offers little confidence that this product is well manufactured or actually can be held to a consistent standard. So far it performs well, but if I have to contact a source for warranty or service there is no information that implies any organization taking responsibility for this product :1) Other than being labeled on the box as being made in China there is no source of origin.2) No addresses or phone numbers for service/warranty are shown.3) The box identifies the product as "HD Video Processing". The distributor actually describes what product does.4) Then "manual" is not written by an individual well versed in the English language.5) The device comes with a remote. No battery was included and had it not been for the notes on Amazon's web site the required battery specification would be unknown. This was a $5 purchase that had to be made because this product was not ready for a consumer.6) There are no digital outputs, just the standard Red/White RCA jacks. My requirements are not critical, but I expect better and would pay more for a quality product. There is really a need for a well engineered HDMI switcher. I could use a box with 8 inputs and Bluetooth remote. I would prefer a Sony, Bose, Panasonic, or similar brand name manufacturer so I could get service. I really dislike Asian 'junk' and though this product works well, it could be much better. This product was about $60 so its no great loss if I have to replace it in the near future.
